New Feature: The Pin Trade Log (VIP beta)​

We just rolled out the Pin Trade Log to VIP members as a beta - a private journal for keeping track of your real-world trades. It's built for the moment the trade is going down (or right after): easily jot down the trade as it happens, then fill in the details later whenever you have time. OR use it to keep track of your other online trades so you capture when it needs to ship or where to ship it.

Every field is optional, so you can save a quick note in the moment and come back to fill it out and link it to the Pin & Pop ID later.

What it does:
  • Record the trade partner, park or location, date, and any notes you want to remember
  • List the pins you gave and got - just type them one per line, no fiddly forms
  • Add photos, either one combined shot of the trade or separate "gave" and "got" pictures (opens straight to your phone's camera)
  • Link any pin in your log to its Pin & Pop ID later, so you get the full deets (integration with your collection coming soon)
  • Log online trades too - flip on the online switch to track shipping addresses, ship and receive dates, and tracking numbers, with a status showing whether a trade is awaiting shipment, in transit, or received
  • Search your whole history by trade partner, location, notes, or pin name, and filter by shipping status
  • See your lifetime totals for trades made, pins given, and pins received

Is there any way to see only the pending trades in my trades? I really want to sort out just what is still in progress and see how many I have pending and what is still in limbo. Scrolling through all the shipped pins is really annoying.
 
I believe this falls under " site announcements" as it's an announcement on the site.

All these years I thought cadence was a musical term?

if it means what I might think, is really 6 weeks to 12 weeks (THREE MONTHS) for people to get their new pins back to them, that the pins sent off right over the last arcade (May 29th) won't have until August? is that correct?

I thought that indicated how often the arcades happened, not trade processing time. But I could have read that wrong.

I did further research and I believe it means the frequently of the events, just an odd word to use in that context

Still, three months to get pins sorted when they're sent out first thing when the trade arcade concludes, when we got them before with 6 weeks and there's allegedly more staff?

Perhaps the membership levels can be tiered.
One level where you always have more than 50 pins at a table, so you don't burn off tokens
Another level where there's a faster turn around time
The final level for both.

Any I missed?

I wonder if it's something people would pay for and it would help the coffers to do more hires...

RE: Second Chance Board (A Review):
- Time limit for shipping pins, but no time limit for traders to decide on 2nd chance trades. This is a disconnect for me. I need both or neither to be time limited.
- EX: I just shipped four confirmed 2nd chance trades yesterday and within minutes of the package departing my hands I had another accepted trade from an offer made a week ago. I am now trying to figure out how to get out of this single pin trade (only due to shipping costs - no other reason.) What could have worked is if all my pending offers had been removed when my 2 week shipping deadline hit.
- I will not ship one pin to PnP... it adds too much expense to this hobby. I try to make multiple trades on the 2nd chance board to make the shipping worth it.
- I have heard from other PnP users that they won't make offers on the 2nd chance board because they also won't ship a single pin. Perhaps allow traders to ship 2nd chance offers in with the next TA?
- I do think putting a limit on traders receiving offers to make decisions on the 2nd chance board would be reasonable. There is a time limit on trade arcades after all. Or allow traders to cancel their offers would be another option.
- 2nd chance offers are difficult to find once made. Would be nice if these were a filterable item or similar to find them easily.
 
I've mailed off single pins for second chance pins, put then in an envelope w/ first class postage- one of them arrived but it was an open envelope with nothing inside and then the 2nd one hasn't shown up yet, so am guessing something else with the USPS as I am not paying for tracking for one pin due to the strict 2 week rule that PnP has in place for sending pins in.
 
Thanks for adding this request @TheMickeyMouseRules. I have also requested 2nd chance pins being sent in with the next TA. I have now sent 2 pins individually because I don’t want to leave the other person hanging. It’s really frustrating.

I think there is a time limit to accept pins, but even with that, you can have offers staggered. And there is no way to clearly see what offers I have made that are not cleared.

I need to just ignore the board until they change these issues.
 
Second Chance Board listers have 7 days before the offers are auto-declined. I understand that the Second Chance Board may not be for everyone. It's an optional board that was created to add additional value for VIPs when their Trade Arcade trades are canceled. I would recommend not risking making an offer on that board if you are not willing to ship a single pin.
 
I agree that the ability to filter according to offers sent would be very helpful, especially as more pins are added to the 2nd Chance board. To decrease the chance of frustration, I decided early on that I would only offer my canceled pins on the 2nd Chance boards to avoid adding more pins to the review pipeline. So far it has worked out well with all of my 2nd Chance listings finding a match. My pins are already at P&P so shipping pins is not an issue, but the ability to filter by sent offers would be helpful.
 
Can we get the ability to better sort/filter our pins by rarity level when making an offer on the Second Chance board?

I love the feature but when I'm on my mobile phone and want to send an offer, I would like to match the (supposed) value of the pin and sorting through hundreds of pins in my collection 25 at a time is so laborious.

Just give me the option to just show 'Epic' pins in my collection versus all the 'Common' that dont match what someone may be looking for
 
I've been using the Trade log and really like it. I'm finding that I can't drag and drop photos of the trade and it isn't a problem except that if I forget and try to drag and drop I have to start the entry all over again. Isn't a big issue but I'd prefer to be able to drag and drop or there to be a reminder than I can't do that because I seem to always forget.
 
Thank you for noting the 7 days. I missed this in the details of how to use the 2nd CB. I usually decide my offers within 1-4 days of receipt, so mine never get to the auto decline. Knowing the offers auto decline in 7 days will help with my planning of offers on the 2nd chance board.

Going to point out, I justify the cost of using PnP because of the savings gained by bulk shipping. I think this could be extrapolated to many PnP users? Maybe the majority?
 
It’s about 50/50 for me. The bulk shipping is a big plus for me, but it also gives me access to a lot of traders with a lot of different pins than what is around me. But I do agree that I forget that I put in an offer with how long they are available. The ability to withdraw and offer on second chance, or at least filter to see what pins I still have pending offers on, would be very helpful.

Bulk shipping is definitely a major draw for P&P trading. That's why I only offer pins on the second chance board that are already at P&P. Some pins are easier to re-match than others, but all of my canceled pins eventually find a match on the second chance board. The second chance board has been a welcome distraction as I wait on my trade arcade pins to cycle through the system. 😊
 
I've done that before as well and it sucks, so... Drag and drop photo support has been added!

The last week or so, I have been working through identifying my baseball card box full of backer cards. This is due to Pinpics saying they're removing SKUs in September *sigh*. This means I've been doing *a lot* of searching, editing and fixing errors. It would be nice if the Series Table View page included the SKU in the empty space next to the Title (Price too) and I'm not sure Series Name is needed next to each pin in the Series View since it already listed twice on the page. Also, if the Rarity also displayed the Edition Size beneath the designation. I'm trying to work through hundreds of cards, and each extra click, and necessary scrolling adds up. Being able to view this information in Series View would make it so much faster to figure out which pins are missing SKUs, have wrong SKUs, have partial SKUs and same for LE size. You can tell when people have used the "Add Similar" button and apparently thought all the Series had the same LE but they actually don't. Anyway, it would be so much easier to identify and fix whole Series at one time vs having to click through to each individual listing to verify info.
 
Good idea to keep the SKUs around and I'm working on some ideas to make this easier for you to work with. I'll try to get it out this week and let you know.

Here it is another day of endless scrolling through all the trades completed, trades to ship, trades canceled, and pending trades to try to figure out what trades are still pending. Why oh why can we not have a tab to just show us the pending trades?!
