So I have noticed that some pins and boxes are now sold in waves, first the Pixar boxes the release will be three times this year, than the cast gothic ariel pin they sold out all over, but now there back for sale. The cm told me that they only got a hand full of each pin and that after some time they will get more. This is to make sure everyone has a greater chance to get the pins. I truly like this idea it gives us all a chance to get the pins before they are taken up.

Actually with how u describe it that sounds like a great idea. Any guesses/ideas specifically when the Pixar Mystery boxes will be released again? :)

Yeah, only rumors though but from a reliable source/trusted friend. I'll go check it out tomorrow in the morning.

Bah humbug... well... I can get there tomorrow at 11:30am at the earliest... if ur right I pray I can my hands on at least two boxes :/

Well I can't buy a lot, I'm going to the Reagan Library this weekend. But honestly someone behind me will buy "everything". I'm a little concerned about the trade/sell value of these pins considering they've been scrapped already.

So I did not realize the like "value" in these boxes... I just really wanted an Elinor pin, but I was there the day they released (my cousin was dancing at DTD) so I was roaming before it even opened but, needless to say I got three boxes from their first release and I was like the only person in there. however, with how many people want them now it might get a little crazy.

::shrugs:: hmm I'm no expert but I think people want these pins considering how many ppl collect Brave, Up and Wall-E but that's just my guess. Heck if I ended up getting a box or two, and I got pins that were scrapped I'd ask for refund/different box. Especially if I got pins were the characters' pupils were missing.

Well if you buy the pins from Disney they won't be fake. But that one pin I showed you the other day with Jessie, Woody, and Bullseye was hilariously creepy. lol

Well remember a Scrapper is still an official Disney pin, but it is a pin that didn't pass their quality control, so coloring and lines may not be fully correct. These pins should have been removed from the production line, but somehow made it to the trading/selling markets for whatever reasons.

Yes that Toy Story pin was creepy, and deceiving. I didn't even notice the missing pupils until I looked at the pin really up close.

Last month, the release was on a Thursday before some major DSF release. I think it was the Thursday that people then started standing in line for the Beloved Tales pins. So, Thursday the 24th of January.

I went today, no pins. I was told that February's had already come out (in early February, like 2 weeks after the first wave came through). No idea re: March.

No February ones were ever released.

there was no second release of these pins.....there are boxes, i have seen them with my eyes...i have asked many times and my team lead friends dont even know...

So no pixar boxes today?

When I checked this afternoon (Thursday) Pin Traders at DTD didn't have them, the lead CM there told me they called LGM and Westward Ho and they didn't have them either. I checked the Disneyland Hotel gift shops, none. Checked World of Disney, also none :suspect: Grrrr.... I just want some of the pins! I'd be thrilled if I could get my hands on 2 boxes at this point! haha

However, while chatting with the lead CM today at Pin Trader, she told me an interesting tidbit. I actually believe the idea makes alot of sense. This idea has only been tossed around (according to the CM), and management may or may not not do this due to what happened with so many ppl buying so many Pixar boxes at once (according to her, but we have all prolly heard stories of ppl going into stores and buying 20, 40 to 60 boxes of those things at this point). So please don't shoot the messenger!! lol And just some food for thought for my fellow pin trading friends (juuust on the offshoot it does in fact happen) :)

She told me that management is considering limiting the amount of bricks a person can buy of a series when they released, even if it is a limited release (i.e. Pixar mystery boxes, Princess Carousel Horses). The thought occurred to them after they saw what happened with the Pixar mystery boxes and now she said they consider it to be a legitimate thought for future releases. And on the website, it does say something along the lines of pin distributions are subject to change w/out prior notice (or something along this sort of verbage).

This convo with the CM occurred bc a friend of mine and myself do plan to purchase 1 brick of the carousel horses and I confirmed whether or not buying bricks would be doable for that particular release. The CM actually asked/told me, "Well that depends on how many u wish to buy; if u want to buy 6 or 7 bricks that may not be possible...." I just looked at her like :eek: (me) "Oh good lordy no I just want 1 brick if that's even going to be allowed AND my friend and I can get our hands on just 1!" We both had a good laugh about that.

But yeah, may or may not occur, but just wanted to share it w/ y'all. I actually believe it's a very good idea to be honest, others may disagree and that's okay too.
