Also you had to have a slot in order to be in the Wondercon raffle? So if I go to Wondercon without having previously bought a slot, I won't have a chance to win anything?

Yes, you had to have bought a slot to qualify.
 
Wait so in California it is unlawful to have a raffle and not have consolation prizes? Can someone explain to me how that works for the lottery, because isn't that a raffle itself?

I believe all lottery proceeds go to the state, making it more of an idiot tax. If a person or company tried to hold a lottery, they'd probably go straight to jail.
 
Rather than assuming or guessing, I would hope this site's operators will have gotten their own legal advice, since a precedent is now set that people are willing to take legal action against a pin website.

Laws prohibiting lotteries usually have exceptions for government lotteries and for raffles run by registered charities that comply with specific rules.
 
Wow, this is really cool of Pinpics ^_^ I'm disappointed I didn't enter now considering they have not just Stitch with Disney Dogs (Dalamatians) but they have MULAN AND THE MATCHMAKER!!!! AHHHHH!!! Congrats to all those who entered :) The person who gets R/C Rapunzel better not be a reseller, that's my worst fear at the moment >_<

There are some empty spaces on the board I noticed, so assuming they haven't all sold out? I was meant to purchase a place but because I've been working full-time I have forgotten and I just got paid yesterday as well!! Damn... hope there is a spot left. Fingers x
 
I don't think there are any spots left.

And I also read the update to mean that the first 20 people whose #s are drawn get to pick from the prizes pictured. The others get consolation prizes that aren't pictured.
