Ohmygoodness. I woke up this morning and checked my e-mail and found about 15 trade requests. I was VERY surprised since I don't have very many good traders at the moment. So I opened them up and someone wanted to trade me the new DSF Chocolate Box (Stitch and Angel) for an Esmeralda Reveal Conceal Girl.

One problem: I DONT HAVE ESMERALDA.

So I open my other e-mails. A few others are for Esmeralda too. Some others are for some Tink LE100 pins that I DO NOT HAVE.

So of course I am extremely confused and check my trader page and for some reason there were TONS of pins that I DID NOT add. They were pins I would have never even LOOKED at on PinPics. So I have no idea what happened! So I've spent the morning removing these phantom pins from my traders list and I get to e-mail all these disappointed people and tell them that I do not have these pins.

Sooo either PinPics glitched out somehow, or I have a ghost in my computer that is messing with my account, lol.

 
Hmm ... odd ... I found 2 pins like that among my traders too. I know that I never had them, and I removed them just now. Probably some glitch though. I will see if they come back or if new pins show up.

I have the opposite glitch--pins that I have and know I've added, disappear from my trades!
 
Oh my gosh, the same thing happened to me and I thought I was going CRAZY. A pin from my collection was on my traders and I got a request for it, I though, oh it must be an accident I must have added it without knowing it (even though I haven't looked at this pin in ages), then I had another request for a pin that I have NEVER even looked at the listing for on pinpics before, so I am pretty positive I didn't add it. This was 2 days ago.
 
This has happened to me a few times, I thought I was the only one! Sorry that happened to you, but glad to know I'm not going crazy about it :/
 
This has happened to me too. Some of them have been pins that have been linked to on auctions that I have clicked on. I dont know if people have linked from there traders and has somehow told pinpics I want to trade them too?
 
It's not a "glitch." It's what happens depending on WHEN someone has pulled a URL to use in the forum.

So if someone has excitedly added something or removed something from their list, and then posts and grabs the URL then everyone ends up adding or subtracting it if they clicked on the link
 
I too thought I had a ghost in my computer adding pins to my traders that I do not have for trade, or pins on my wants that I do not want.
I have replied numerous times to requests to state that my pin pics page needed to be updated because
I must have accidentally put a pin on there, I'm actually happy to read this today, because I thought for sure it was ME making mistakes constantly. Now I have to go re-check my traders, WHAT A JOB!!!

Somehow, many of the pins on my wants moved over onto my trades. I didn't get nearly as many inquiries as you did, but I got three or four over the past week for pins I don't own. I checked my traders, and sure enough, the pins in question were listed as tradeable. Suuuper annoying. I cleaned up my account then and there, I'm really glad it wasn't just me doing something silly!! <3
 
PinPics and I have been having an argument for months about a pin on my trades list. Picpics insists I still have it, and I keep removing it from my trades. pin 89790. I have removed this pin like 10 times at LEAST and it keeps showing up in my trades list.

Heres what keeps happening to me:
  1. doobeedooo, review my trades list.
  2. WTF pinpics? I removed that Donald!
  3. Removes donald from trade list.
  4. Goes back after "done" and checks, Donald is not there.
  5. 3 days later, goes to review tradable pins for an auction bid and....
  6. WTF Pinpics? I removed that Donald!
  7. Removes Donald from trade listing.
  8. goes back later and checks, it is NOT on trade list.
  9. Updates trade a week later after a DLR visit.
  10. WTF pinpics? I removed that Donald!

I think you get the picture.....
 
This has happened to me before too! I've also had pins added to my collection, very strange.. when I saw them I was like "what is that? I don't remember having that pin..." and i've deleted them in the past only to find that they have reappeared! :shock:
 

Hey Kristine,
It is on your traders right now..Have you contacted one of the mods on Pinpics or just battled with your list yourself? They may have some knowledge about why it keeps popping up there, if you ask them.

2 days ago it was removed from my pinpics trade list and when I saw it there this morning I just wanted to cry. Then i saw this thread and thought it was a worthy STAHP post.

I have yet to contact them, it was happening to me before with a different pin last year and when I contacted them they never replied... however the pin stopped reappearing so i guess thats a bonus right?
 
Oh my gosh! This happened to me to!!!! I kept getting requests for a Jumbo Tink pin... I would never collect tink! XD It was bizarre.

Many times pins I have removed from my traders, show back up after time. It's time consuming to keep going thru 23 pages of traders to try and determine what I have and what might have been traded. I gave up some time ago. I still like PinPics
 
Hasn't happened to me... that I know of...but thanks for letting me know to keep a close watch!! :eek2:
 
So that explains why I had a pin that I never would own or want in either my trades or wants, I cant remember which it was, and I knew I hadnt even looked at it on Pinpics to have accidentally added it. I didn't know about it until someone sent me a trade request and I was like "What the..?". Thanks for posting or else I would still be wondering how the hell that one got on there!
 
Ive come across some "glitches" over the last few days. I was offered two pins in a trade, so checked the stats on Pinpics, it said that more people were trading than wanting, about 11 people wanting in each case. Two hours later when I went back to the listings, the wants have now more than doubled!! Now these were older pins so it just didnt seem right. Also on the reference centre, a trader had two references, then an hour later they had a whole long list of them.
