If we knew which pins had holograms, we could add that to the pin descriptions on Pin Pics, just as other pin back information is slowly being added.

Also, I don't know if anyone noticed this, but eBay just increased the length of time for completed listings to show, for collectibles only, to three months. It used to be 15 days like everything else. So if someone was selling the same pin every 2-3 weeks, that will be now more easily spotted.

I paged through one of the above-mentioned-seller's old feedback and found a completed listing for 66022 Jessica as Queen of Hearts. The seller's listing describes the pin as having a Disney/Amblin copyright on the back. Does that sound right?

Yes, all Roger/Jessica products are supposed to reference Amblin in the copyright info. Same as Nightmare Before Christmas (Touchstone) and anything Pixar (Disney/Pixar).

The pins in Question from the seller in question show a picture of the pin and the back of the pin with the hologram missing. The seller isn't trying to hide that they are selling counterfeits. They are shipping directly from China with no refunds. I'm fed up with EBAY for allowing this to go on. They are in my opinion held responsible from this day forward. I have informed them in 10 emails that they are selling counterfits.

I would ask to have the names of these sellers PM'ed to me as well, but that is just protecting these sellers. Can you please post the names of the sellers so everyone can be aware?

Thank you for the heads-up.

I don't want to hi-jack your thread, but there is one seller I have been watching for a while now, almost 8 months at least.

She offers same pins again and again and those are popular LE pins. If you check her fb on Ebay, you will see that she has fb left for the same LE 100 pin 2-3 times within a month or so. I am guessing she somehow got hold unauthorized copies of the following pins:

I know there is no scrapper alert on these pins when you check pinpics, but IMO there is something majorly fishy if the same seller offers same low LE pins (that are sought after) over and over in such a short time.

Can you please post the name of the seller? I plan on purchasing these, and do not want to waste my hard earned money

If you paid by Paypal Paypal will refund you, no matter what the seller writes.

It's against forum rules to post the sellers name, but you can have it PMed to you. (I don't know who the seller is or I would PM you)

Can someone please PM me the names of these sellers. I've been trying to notify eBay about counterfeit sellers as I come across them. This will help me keep my campaign alive and give me more ammunition to write about. Hopefully if everyone writes in, they might do something about it.

There are so many sellers with fake pins on ebay right now, and everyone is falling for these, because they are not aware these are counterfeit. The person selling the Costumed Stitch Dalmatian pin has been selling this pin over and over. I am happy that they finally got people to stop buying for the last month, but sad that so many got taken by this seller.

Pin 83925 is constantly selling, and when I ask the sellers how many posts the pins has, I never get a response, because they know pinpics says there are fakes, and one easy way to tell is that the counterfeits have one post. So they know they are selling fake pins and these are people in the US!!!

Everyone's eyes are on the sellers from Hong Kong and China, but no one is paying attention to the sellers in the US, so this is my warning to all of you here. It seems like we cannot get away from the counterfeit pin sellers.

This may have already been discussed but do ALL Disney Auction pins have a hologram on them? I don't have many in my collection but I don't think any of them have a hologram on the back.

Our forum rules do not allow Ebay links or id's of any form to be posted.

Actually, the seller Bretu is talking about has been around for a while. There was another much older thread about those pins w/o the hologram.

I know I am new here, but It seems like that rule is there to prevent people from advertising and spamming the board. It just seems like we are protecting suspect sellers by keeping their names secret.

I don't think the Stitch with Sleeping Beauty is a scrapper. I bought one, compared it to mine (which is new on original backing card) and everything checked out. Wish I woulda taken pictures, but I ended up getting refund because the pin had a few scratches on the face that were not described in the listing. I'm thinking the seller keeps relisting these pins because people return them when she doesn't list them accurately. Just my two cents.

It is also protection from any legal stuff that can come back to bite DPF.
