Just a friendly bump, for those who may not have noticed this the first time. I haven't heard from Nate since this thread was started, so I don't know if he's seen it yet or not, but I'm sure he'd want to send you all his love and thanks for all your kind wishes and pixie dust!!!



Hi! Hope it's ok to post this here, but our DPF good guy and buddy Nate (nsingleton) has been having a rather rough time of things lately. I've been communicating recently with him because I helped him with a pin he wanted, but during this time he's been in the hospital and not feeling very well since he got out. In another couple of weeks he has to go back for surgery. I'm going to post below what he sent me in an email today. I hope a lot of you here on DPF will take a little time to give him your good thoughts, prayers, well wishes and help to make him feel a little better. Thank you so much!

Hello there! Hope all is well!!! I am just getting up for the day, lol! I am sure I am not that important to people on DPF, but if anyone is wondering where I am, would you be so kind as to inform them what has been happening with me please. I have just not had the energy or time. When I come home from work, I am so tired and wore out, I just lay down, ugh! I am sure no one is probably asking, but just in case.

Disneydreamer it is very kind of you to support a friend, but since this thread is not really related to pins, it should have been posted in "Anything goes" sub-forum.

I had read that Nate was not very well few weeks ago. If memory serves me right, his apartment/condo was also being forclosed on. It is definitely a tough time for him :( I hope his health, mood and fortune will improve soon. Much pixie dust to him :)

Thanks, Merryweather, for the information. I do realize now this should have been posted elsewhere on the forum. If the mods wish to move it to "Anything Goes", that's fine with me. I was just thinking at the time of the place on here that most people would see it quickly. This is where I head to first, most often. :)
 
Please add my best wishes and prayers for Nate!! Please let him know that I'm sending "good vibrations" and lots of Pixie Dust for a speedy recovery and good fortune!! Life throws us some difficult issues at times and remembering that there are lots of other people around wishing you well and praying for you too, helps get you through the tough times! I was thinking why he didn't PM me anymore, we had a couple of nice chats that way, but I thought he was just busy....

It sounds to me like your being hit a little extra hard by things that many of us don't understand. Hoping you realize that you are missed and that the things we all go through help define who we are as people.

Were like diamonds in the rough (no pun intended) and with everything that is thrown upon us, it help chip away at the unnecessary, so only our beautiful inner sparkle shows through!

Keep your spirits up, they are more important than we think!

Nate, just remember that tough times make tough people. You will survive all this and know that your DPF friends and family are standing behind you all the way. Best wishes for a speedy recovery and I'm sending you a bucket full of pixie dust. Get better real soon - we miss you.
 
First I would like to give a giant thank you to Barbara for posting this thread to let everyone know what has been going on with me and why I have not be on the forum for quite awhile! It means a lot to me, as do all the well wishes! Thank you all so much!!! All the prayers, pixiedust and positive thoughts definitely help, especially by lifting my spirits! It makes my heart swell to know how much you all care. I apologize for not getting on sooner to see this thread and respond!!!! I have just had no energy as of lately, spend most of my time sleeping and working, ugh!

Just so everyone knows what my health issues are, I was diagonosed with a severe case of diverticulitis which caused a perforation in my colon. I was admitted to the hospital for a week, on antibiotics for three and a half weeks and will be having surgery to remove the damaged portion of my colon in 3-5 weeks, ugh! Hopefully after all this, I will start feeling much better! :x: I am a giant baby when it comes to being sick, and this was my first time staying in a hospital and will be my first surgery! YIKES!!! I am kinda freaking out about that part! LOL! I know I have missed a lot, and hope everyone else has been having better luck than myself!

Again, thank you all for your kindness and well wishes!!! :) And sorry for not being on sooner! I have a few more long overdue thank you's that I need to post; as much as I would like to do seperate ones, I think it will be all in one post (sorry) because I am wearing down again and want to get everything posted!

You are all so wonderfully amazing, I am so very happy and privileged to call you all friends!
