Errr... yeah I was talking about the Black Cauldron.
xD
HBofND was reaaaallllllllyyy cgi heavy though!! I think it's one of the most beautiful films ever if that means anything xD
So I'm new to this, is this posted on the disney blog?
Nope. But I do agree he's pretty scary; that movie was never popular however. I'm talking about Frollo from HoND. He's scary in a different sense; no magical powers or anything... but he believes what he is doing is right. He's a realistic villain, therefore he's pretty frightening.
No it wasn't the first. The Great Mouse Detective used it in the Big Ben scene, Beauty and the Beasts ballroom scene used it, the Cave of Wonders in Aladdin, the Stampede scene from The Lion King, and if you wanna get REALLY technical The Black Cauldron is the first Animated film credited to using computer generated animation for it's special effects and fire.
They preview a lot of them at the Trading Nights.
I will be down at WDW when the Lion King set is released (hopefully).
Wonder what the chasers for TLM ones will be.
Ahh. Frollo was creepy on multiple levels.
The character costume at the parks doesn't help…
Back to the Black Cauldron  One of my top favorites by the way... Wasn't it also Disney's first rated PG animated film?
