There are officially 2 reveal conceal Rapunzel Chasers on EBay!! My goodness lol and they are all as auctions. Although, it's kinda messed that the person who just listed it would do it while the other is almost done. Oh well! Goodluck to all bidders!!

Lol I guess the last one that sold for $1,000 was the true market value for the pin, maybe even less than market value. I'm glad that these are going at auction, so everyone who was complaining about the price of the first one can see for themselves that the pin is just THAT RARE at the moment.

The most interesting thing is that although they are two "different" sellers, they both have the exact same listing and have both mispelled Rapunzel by spelling it "Repunzel". I think that might be an indicator that they are one and the same seller?? hmmmmm....any thoughts?

I think the 2nd seller just copied the description of the first so he could get the same attention as the first u know? Idk, just a thought

We noticed that too about the descriptions/titles. . . it almost makes me curious as to whether or not it's the same pin, as one had a lower starting price and the second, a much much higher one.

Taking that back - some minute differences in description wording and the sellers are in two different parts of CA, though I'm not as familiar with CA geography. hmmm. ..

These prices are just crazy! :/ I wonder if they are going to go Higher, or if they will fizzle with time like so many other pins do.... only time will tell. <3 Best of lu to all who are hunting this pin down for their collection! I wish you all the best Pin Karma Possible! <3 <3 <3

Laz...you are just the sweetest person in the world. Thanks for your positive outlook and positive pin karma. This is one pin that unfortunately will never be seen in my collection, I can pretty much be assured of that..LOL..though I may leave a place of honor for it, just in case..
I have no idea if it is the same seller (they are probably not one and the same..never saw the location difference until CMR626 pointed that out..)or not but I do hope that the prices will eventually stabilize for everyones sake...$1000 is just way out of most peoples reach for a pin that only sold for $10 originally.

I know for a fact that they are two different sellers - and the 2nd one did copy and paste both the title and description from the first one...all of the other pins the 2nd person has up have the descriptions copied directly from pinpics (as well as all of the images)

Three of the bidders have jumped from the earlier auction to the new one...

Like Debby said, this is one pin I am sure I will never own, along with most of the high end Rapunzel pins. I've lost hope, but there will always be a place of honor left!

I can also vouch for a fact that the second person listing the R/C Punzel pin is not the same as the first. They copied the listing of the first. Check the seller's sales history on the first listing and you will see that they have been slowly selling off their R/C set over the last few months. They always start all their auctions off low too (I think at $34.95 starting price). It will be interesting to see how many R/C Punzel owners come out of the woodwork now and sell that pin on the bay in light of the recent sale prices. I think it's safe to say that this pin will continue to sell for $500 or higher, even as time rolls on, because everyday there's new pin collectors and it was already a rare pin to begin with (I think I saw someone once mention that even when these pins were released it wasn't on Ebay all that much and even back then sold for $100 or over). Not only do you have the Rapunzel collectors after it but you have R/C girl collectors who want to complete their sets, so... I'm just guessing that the demand for this pin will always be pretty high. Maybe not $1000 high but definitely up there.

Also, I know that this has been asked before... but does anyone have an educated guess as to how many R/C Punzel pins are in existence? I know it's pretty hard to know but I ask because maybe someone here knows someone who has the inside scoop as to how many "Chaser" pins/items are usually made in a series. I'm going to guess... 50 to 100... ? Too low?

EDIT: Also, noticed that there are now 2 additional people trading R/C Rapunzel on PinPics now! So for those unable to go for the ones on Ebay, best wishes that you get one through a possible trade! :)

Just realised, the rapunzel pin has 3 gems compared to only one gem from the others in the series.

i am still hoping that the missing pins will be found. I saw some d23 pins someone on here added to pinpics a few days ago and they said these have been missing since July... There might be hope!

to be fair to the seller, he/she started the auction at $34.95. He/She are not forcing this mad bidding !
Some may want/need this pin for their collection but the bidding is crazy. No way would I pay anywhere near that for a pin.
Madness !

Wow you're right this is madness just 1 of those pins i guess...

There were about 3 that sold for $50 - $75 at the time too..

I believe eBay gives you the option to click a sell similar button and it keeps the same title, as the original item you listed. Who knows?

Does anyone know why some of the pins from this collection have one jewel and others dont??

Interestingly enough, when I last checked earlier this week on Rapunzel R/C on PP - no one was trading... now 3 people are trading.... maybe there are more in circulation??

The ones w/o a jewel are the conceals, all the reveals have a jewel and Rapunzel has 3 jewels because she is the chaser ^_^

Ahh thank you. So dumb question, but you could actually see the revealed (gem) pin inside the box when you purchased it ? And 1 concealed (or a rare chance of Rapunzel) was at the bottom but you had to purchase the box to see the concealed? Correct?

Thanks, Sophia! ^_^ <3 And yes I will LOL, I learned my lesson with a Snow White PODM I got last month LOL...

Oh no, it is expensive when it goes over £25. How bad was it? Good luck :)
