When it rains it pours.... My family has been going through some tough times financially.. My dad just got his hospital bill from a 2-3 day stay for a severe asthma attack. Our bill is close to $6000. My parents don't know where the money is going to come from. My dad doesn't have a job. We raise support like missionaries do on a monthly basis. My mom does have a steady job but it isn't enough to support a family of 4. So I've decided to help with expenses that I will sell off my traders. I love my parents so much. They are worth much more than a pin could ever be. And I don't want them to be stressed about the bill. I'll be posting prices starting tomorrow. My pinpics is Mmiano if anyone wants to take a look at my traders ahead of time and pm me for prices as I have a general idea as to how much I might sell a few... Thanks guys!

So sorry to hear its gonna come to selling your pins to cover this terrible bill. I hope the sale will go well and I sent a pm earlier.

Lots of courage during this rough time for your family.

So sorry to hear about all your troubles.

If your father doesn't have medical insurance, perhaps you can see if he qualifies for Medi-Cal or Medicaid for low income families? In the IE, we have something called Inland Empire Health Plan which is basically Medi-Cal for those living in the IE.

The hospital where your father was admitted should be able to help with the paperwork.

Medi-Cal offers coverage to qualifying low-income families with children, seniors (age 65 and older), and people with disabilities.

Effective Jan. 1, 2014, Medi-Cal now also offers coverage to more adults. As part of the federal health care law, the Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act (Affordable Care Act), Medi-Cal now extends healthcare coverage to the following qualifying low-income adults:

  • Adults (under age 65) who have no children, or have children over age 21
  • Parents of children who were previously denied for Medi-Cal for having too many assets (like a boat or truck)
  • Former foster youth who are 21 or older

I also have had medical hardships due to bronchial spasm for my son. You will get thru it. I will say a prayer for you. Wishing blessings on your family.

Sending PM.

Thank you.
