Hi Everybody,

I felt that everybody deserved a good explanation and update on my current situation because you have all been so great to me.

First off, thank you SOO much for the support through PM and this thread, it was truly wonderful. Well obviously I am home now and a bit better. I ended up having a severe infection in my throat that grew out of control and was pressing on a nerve that caused incredible pain in my ear/neck. The doctors drained the infection in the ER and operated on me on Wednesday. They removed my tonsils, some tissue, and some other infected "stuff" I have a bleeding disorder so I am still getting platelet transfusions a few more times, including today, which make me pretty sick on its own. I am currently taking an abundance of medicines that make me a bit loopy, but I am happy to be home.

I should be able to go back to classes next Wednesday or Thursday. The biggest bummer of all is that I don't know how long it will be until I play trumpet again (I do play sax, but I am not a great, Moe.lol) This was my main source of income so that just blows. Hopefully, I'll be back on the horn around the same time I am going back to classes and I can start building up my routine again. I am sure I will be all right in when all is said and done, I will likely just not be purchasing any pins in the near future and will shoot for trading only, which I will start doing again in a few days or so.

I just wanted to thank you all again for your support. It's great. It remind me that I am part of something. Even though I have met zero people for DPF in person, I still feel like we are all one family (sounds corny).

We are glad to hear things went well and you will be back blowing before you know it...

Thanks, Moe. And thanks for starting the thread. I didn't know my girlfriend was helping me out lol Usually she just browses around and looks at the pictures lol
