I have a signed Mr toads wild ride artist choice LE 10,000 by Alex Maher pin. I have no idea about signed pins, can any one tell me anything. If i sold it what do you think? If i traded it how would that affect a trade. What is the best way to go about perhaps getting something I really want? Also if I list this pin on pin pics, there is no box for autographed.....i actually have 2 of these pins so i would consider selling/trading it for a grail. input ???

The problem with signed pins is the artist signs the back of the pin. You can't know it's signed unless you take it out of your book. As far as value, I don't know what to tell you there. I think if it were an AP or a PP you would have a more valuable pin. But, seeings how it's a LE 10,000, I can't see how having the artists signature is going to increase the overall value of this particular pin. We have a few signed pins as well and if we didn't tell people, they would never know. So, do I think it's worth more trade wise, in this case, NO. If you had a lower edition size or, like I said, if it were an AP or PP it might increase the trade value or the overall value. But because it's an LE 10,000 and the fact that most Pin Designers are not well known in the art community, I don't think the autograph is going to affect the value at all..

I don't think a signed pin increases the value at all. If I trade for a signed pin I'm not going trade any harder for it. I also will never stand in line to get items signed at an event with the exception of Robert Olszewski.[h=1][/h]
