The agony of defeat... -_-
Yep that's happened to me too! I hope this isn't the going price for this pin now because this one did include the signed artwork as a bonus :\
Thanks Mel! And I hope so. All hail the mighty pin gods... Hehehe
You know, I was wondering that too! Like I said to Marissa, I'm also wondering now if the next listing of this pin to hit the bay will be as much and will it include the artwork? I have no idea. Guess we have to wait and see
:)
I know PinPics doesn't say anything about the pin coming with it's original artwork... :dunno:
Honestly, I figured due to it's scare appearance on the bay that when this pin DID pop up, it'd already go for an inflated price, it being LE250 and rare and pretty. I think this was actually a justifiable price for the pin AND the signed artwork by the artist. Interested to see what the pin by itself will come up for. I'm wagering now the pin itself may pop up for $250-$300 just because now someone will see this listing, ignore the artwork and use the basis of "This is what the pin sold for last time"

I can confirm that the pin didn't come with the art work when she was first released as that's when I added her to my collection! I hope for your sake that's why the price was so high and that no one tries the whole it sold for this much last time because much as I love this pin, it is just a pin and outside of pin collectors I can't see others valuing a shiny piece of metal so high but with the addition of the art work it would automatically appeal to other disneyana collectors as well as pin traders.

Aquata thanks for the kind words about my collection, I've been really lucky over the years but you don't seem to be doing too bad yourself, you've got a few pins there that I wouldn't mind adding to my collection!! just remember all good things come to those who wait :)

Yeah, I never thought the pin was released with the artwork... It's an LE250 pin, isn't it? The artwork is one of a kind, so either only one person got the artwork with the pin somehow (maybe the first person or something?), the pin and the artwork were sold together by Disney in some other way (auction, special event...), or the person got the artwork separately and just sold them together on eBay. The seller has a lot of other original artwork that's not paired with pins, so it's possible that the last scenario is the case...

How does Disney release this kind of artwork, anyway? I've seen them sell stuff from their animated films, but don't think I've seen merchandise artwork forsale anywhere (like at their stores and such...)

Keep your chin up! if you wait long enough it will come back around :) Believe it or not I purchased this pin twice last year for right around $30, just keep your eyes open and she will come back around!

It will happen just hang on there! it's going to be in your hand someday, your dream will come true, and when it does share with us your super mega happy grail dance because we all want to share in your celebration. Someone is going to see that pin sold for a good chunk of dough and will think to themselves I could use that kind of money and will post thiers too! the time will come and it will be your turn! stay Positive! and lots of luck and pixie dust!

Thanks Janice! I sure hope so!! *spongebob voice* I'm ready! I'm ready! I'm ready! xD
And that's what I'm hoping!! I'm hoping now other people see what that sold for and sell theirs ... but ... not ... for ... MORE than $200  xD

Oh no :/ I'm really sad to hear this. I know the feeling... I know you will get her one day :) Maybe even for a better price! you never know :)

Thanks Clara!!

im pretty familiar with that feeling with the enchanted marquee T_T its rarely seen ever, with no one trading on pinpics.. but its on ebay right now but it already hit $400 with days left for the auction :/ i feel its hopeless.

Oh gosh... that Enchanted marquee... I've heard stories of how hard that pin is to get and yes! I saw the eBay auction too! The TLM Beloved Tales went for $400 and I was like "WHA-!?" Crazy pin prices!! It isn't hopeless, you just gotta keep at it. I know that sounds cliche'd but someday you'll be in the right place at the right time :) There ARE people who part with their pins at decent prices because they need money yet want to be reasonable to give the average collector a shot. I'm hoping you find your grail that and it comes to you :)

Awww laney *huggles* I'm so sorry. I've had this experience with numerous pins. I've made trades for and got scammed for the rapunzel designer princess, and the tangled marquee. I've been hunting the Giselle reveal conceal since the series came out. I've been trying to get the ds.com Mulan 10th anniversary pin since it came out. The list goes on and on, my list of pins I feel like I won't ever get. Blahhh. I will send some requests for you!!

I remember you telling me about the Giselle R/C. She's a toughie to get for sure, not going to lie. Even when you have the funds, it's finding someone to SELL her. Still, I'll bet some day she'll come to you ;) Just need a few good traders and the RIGHT trader who won't ask for 20 pins plus your front teeth for her. Trust me, those people aren't common but they DO exist :) Stay hopeful hun :) She's easier than Rapunzel R/C and even Ariel I'd say O_O;

I've felt like that many many times! Patience is the key though even though it feels like we'll be waiting for years and it will never show up again, it eventually does!

Some day! I really hope you find it again :)

And I'm learning that. Oh boy have I learned... just plopped down $40 for one of the Brave mystery chasers and now they've plummeted to around $20-$25 *facepalm* Patience truly is key. It's just... being patient that's hard and then being patient and still missing the chance. But thank you! I remain optimistic and you are 100% correct :)

Just remember that the agony of defeat will soon become the thrill of victory!!! :)

Hahahaha I dunno why I got the scene from WIR in my head when you said this...

"Cause you're a winner!"
"I'm a winner!"
"And your adorable!"
"I'm adorable!"
"And everyone loves an adorable winner!"

Hahahaha don't ask .... I think it's because I just watched it yesterday xD

Thanks Berry! Like I said, I wasn't going to mope too much. I've been very fortunate in some of my pin finds :) And it's good to know that it didn't come with the artwork so yes! Fingers crossed that it shows up again for a lesser price! :D

I know this a long shot but perhaps... the person knew the artist...? Or probably more likely a very limited promotion that went to only the first few who purchased the pin? I dunno o.o;

I also just sent out some requests for you. I don't have it anymore but will see if I can find one for you.

Avery thank you and you are so lucky to have gotten her twice for $30! And thank you everyone who was so kind enough to do that (send trade requests), you really didn't have to but I'm endlessly grateful. After the next 3 DSF releases, if I am fortunate to get the pins, I will then have a few good traders where I might actually stand a chance!! Someone on PinPics with this pin may actually consider it

I had 3 possible matches and one of them was DA LE 100 Valentine's Day Jasmine. Even then, the answer came as "no". I will watch Ebay and other private sales very closely for you. Occasionally, I am able to snag some pins for few friends here, so I will keep watching. Best of luck :)

:wavey: Hang in there! Like others, I've had this pin for several years and can share that she is worth the wait ::hug:

You'll get it eventually just wait and see. Same thing happened to me a million times but trust me, when it's meant to be it's meant to be. I bet you'll even get it at a lower price! One time I missed a Lion King pin I wanted really bad only to buy it later for 15 bucks! The Pin Gods work in mysterious ways haha.

I will keep my eyes peeled.

Thank you so much!! *massive hugs* ^____^

Holy... whoa... O_O; I mean Jasmine DA LE 100 is nothing to turn your nose up at ! :O Thank you for even attempting that for me Merryweather... and thank you for keeping me in your thoughts. It means the world to me :*)

I knooooow... she's so pretty to me... I know this sounds bizarre but I dunno, I just find this pin to be even prettier in some sense than the Ariel Jumbo Art Nouveau *awaits the "Are You Nuts?" reaction* xD I love the look of wonder on Ariel's face and how her fin is done :) Congrats on owning her! I'm jelly xD

Nice!! What pin was it? There's some really, really nice LK pins out there. AWESOME SCORE FOR 15 BUCKS! Avery *points above* mentioned getting this same pin for $30 last year. If I got that lucky I think I'd go into cardiac arrest. Well, no... wait... I'd wait until this pin was in my hand and THEN I'd go into cardiac arrest :) That sounds better ! And yes, very true about the Pin Gods. I also believe in pin Karma :)
