As I am looking at my old binders in the back of the room that I haven't really paid too much attention to lately. I came across these that I forgot I had. They reminded me of something new? Would you call these original-beloved tales or what DSF may have looked at for the concept?

Disney Auctions - aww, how I miss them (not Disney Auctions (P.I.N.S.) ) !

In my opinion, those look a lot nicer than some/most of the BT pins... but you may be onto something there as they do look awfully similar in overall design

I don't know if these are the original BTs or not... but I just found some pins to add to my wants list. LK and L&T are really cool. Definitely better designed than some BTs. However, LK and L&T BTs are two of the best designed in my opinion, though.

I. WANT. THAT. LION. KING. PIN.

Dang, why didn't I start pin trading back when Disney Auctions was still around!?!? :banghead:

Okay, stupid relative-newbie question here... what is the difference between Disney Auctions and P.I.N.S.? I have always wondered!

I do think those probably heavily influenced the BT pins though... the Aladdin and Lady and the Tramp are gorgeous!

P.I.N.S. came out as a response to complaints that Disney Auction pins were too limited and too expensive. P.I.N.S. we're sold Buy It Now style for a fixed price depending on edition size. Regular Disney Auction pins were sold via Dutch auctions, price determined by the buyers. And those are all LE100.

These are gorgeous pins and you will have my envy  I wonder what else is hiding in those old binders of yours.

Maybe DSF used these as a starting point for the Beloved Tales pins for shape and concept. The artwork for Snow White and Lion King is not up to par though. I wish they used a similar artwork to these DA pins. I am not too fond of the current Lion King, and Snow White w/o her 7 little guys.
