Oh my! Did anyone see those reveal conceal auctions today?? Craziness! I was all ready to buy belle and then it flew way out of my range. Anyone on DPF one of the lucky winners?

I didn't bid, but was watching them.

Ariel went for like $288!!!
Aurora, $150!!

I saw those prices and was literally like
:shock::shock::shock::shock::shock::shock::shock::shock::shock::shock::shock::shock::shock::shock:

Yep, I am coming to terms now with the fact that I still need 4 (5 if you include Rapunzel but I gave up on her long ago) pins from the series but honestly seeing Ariel sell for almost 300? Belle 200? Aurora 150? Even Snow White almost 100? Really?? I was just like, :dunno: definitely not worth it. People are crazy, yo.

Wow, I almost bid on Ariel and Belle too  I traded for my Jasmine and Giselle and paid maybe $50 for Alice, $100 for Rapunzel, $25 for Meg and Esmeralda was a gift. And that wasn't all that long ago!

Tanya, I still remember you telling us you found your Rapunzel on a lanyard  If I saw one there now I'd die!

I was watching these auctions as well...holy cow! I thought Ariel and Belle might go for around $80-90...but $288 for Ariel? There are tons of grail-level pins I could purchase for less than that! And yes these pins are pretty, but it is just pictures of their faces (that have been used before) surrounded by a pretty design.

When I saw Rapunzel on Ebay for $50 long back, I thought that it was crazy, but $100 for Rapunzel sounds great right now :)

I know right? I can't get over how popular this series has become...and even the elusive Rapunzel chaser is a pose that has been used multiple times...

I understand that people want to collect the whole set, and that is part of why these pins are so sought-after...but still! These prices are insane! I just couldn't justify spending that much on a reveal/conceal pin when I could purchase a LE 100 Princess Carousel Horse for roughly the same price...

(No offense to anyone that bought these pins...just my personal opinion...I have bought many expensive pins that you may think I was crazy for purchasing. :))

I have Aurora, Jasmine, Tinker Bell, Wendy, Tiana, Mulan, and Jessie reveal/conceals if anyone wants to trade me one of my grails! LOL

Those latest reveal/conceal girls were sold on Ebay for $30 as BIN. The same person who bought them, simply sold them auction style after few weeks. A nice spread ;)

I feel the same way Becky. The last I have seen on Ebay sold for $334 or $384 or something like that. I much rather spend $$ on those, but I think some of those reveal/conceal girls reached grail level now - which even exceeded the D23 designer set. Go figure !!

yeah it is crazy but sadly these mystery conceal princess pins are not only high demand but not many people have them for sell, once they get their hands on them they keep it in their collection so i think it really depends on how much people want and need the specific pin. for example i traded my aurora mystery conceal for
pin78014th72
and looking at does prices now i see that she got a good deal, and i am glad i traded my aurora to this girl because she is a good friend and deserve it.

also these pins are only a year old, an look at their wants and trade ratio, so the price is not too bad(but i personally will not pay that much for it unless i needed it really bad, for example if my boyfriend wants that ariel more than any others i would not mind paying up to $150 for it) when you think of the fact that these pins can be holy grails in a few years, just as hard to get as some auctions 100 grails.

i recently got the alice mystery conceal as a trader(i traded her for my jasmine so i could help a friend out to get her jasmine) and just like every other one from this collection i have seen for the first time i felt in love with it, they are pins so so well made and pretty, none of them have disappoint me when i get to see them in person. i still hope to one day get the ariel but with those prices i will have to start trying harder.

Note(btw, is it just me or or people don't have these pins in their traders books, i have been to the florida project, love is magical and all the PTN at wdw and i have only seen one person with a few of these mystery conceals in her book, but other than that nobody seem to have them.

I feel like I lucked out on my trades for them a while back - I got Giselle AND a PT52 Chip and Dale for my Pluto 250 DA pin. I bought an extra Rapunzel 110th pin and traded that for Jasmine, which was a grail of mine so I was thrilled.

Oh how I wish I bought Ariel and Belle when they first came out haha

That is the second grail of mine that I won't be getting anytime soon based on ebay auctions this week. UP marquee and belle reveal conceal....meh meh!

Just a few weeks ago, 4 of them sold for $15 (again, me, outbid at the last minute). :P

But just a few months ago, the whole set of 21 (with Rapunzel) sold for $1000. So, I can't believe that Ariel and Belle sold for $200 each!

When I saw this set at D-land my primary goal was to obtain Ariel for my collection. I did in my second box. So I've had three others that I didn't need. I put them on my traders and didn't get any hits for them until the past 2 weeks. At the San Diego pin gathering a member had the whole set. Altogether as a set they are gorgeous. I took the others off my traders to save them for an Ariel grail type trade. I watched those auctions and was amazed at the jump in just that last day. I'm so glad I have my Ariel reveal/ conceal, but I still wouldn't let it go for that. Some pins are too sentimental.
