Thought for "wanted" threads....
I very rarely post that i'm interested in a pin, because a ton of others are already doing that too, so i usually don't bother because i inevitably have to find the pin on my own anyway. I wouldn't consider myself a "beggar", not when i express interest in obtaining a pin and reasonable ways of doing so.
...
i'm more than happy to offer a trade or to purchase the pin i'd like at a reasonable cost, not at cost, because it's only fair to pay more to cover time, gas, effort, etc.

I feel the exact same way. I do not express interest in wanting to get a new release pin as I do not want to be perceived as a beggar and I understand what it takes to get these pins.

I think a lot of the animosity that came up over "begging" is directly a result of that... begging for pins at cost and the same people who always end up with them after a whole lot of, well,... begging... Verses the people who have to pay and/or trade hard for those pins. People can do what they want with their time and their pins-- but I can see the side of the people who brought up the issue clearly.

At the end of the day, people are going to help out who they are going to help out whether it be because they have an outside relationship, they have received a favor from them in the past, they like how they conduct themselves on the boards, etc and I don't think a list is going to change that... as has been brought up already, it will probably just hurt people who don't get responses, ever, and it will really bring attention to that as they are on a "master thread" that everyone is constantly looking at.

I think maybe its better if everyone just self-moderates and posts when they really need help with something... and offer something appropriate in return. Just my thoughts, I hope I haven't offended. :)

+10000 my thoughts that I didn't put together as well.

1. Trader A (Willing to buy)
2. Trader B (Willing to trade/buy)
3. Trader C (Willing to buy)
4. Trader D (Willing to buy)
5. Trader E (Willing to buy)

Let's say it looked like that, and let's say that someone came out along with a fantastic price that all of them could afford, and yet they offered it to Trader D.

If I were traders A B or C and the first pin sold to trader D, my first thought would be that trader D was willing to pay more $ or that maybe a trade was set up instead of a sale. I understand the concerns about feeling left out or overlooked (I think everyone here has felt that way at one time or another), but I think this 'idea has merit' (said in a Jafar voice).

while the idea is solid, it does require someone tracking trades/sales negotiated, and since there is no way to force someone to sell/trade with any individual you may find the "i was before them in line" mentality appearing, now barring that problem the idea is sound but with so many pins released in close proximity on certain dates, even a mighty pixie might be taxed to keep up with all of them, now if you wanted to limit it to specific pins to be released,<ie start the list, say, two weeks prior to release to allow for folks to make arrangements> I can see it flowing smoother, but while we try to be idealistic here, the reality is, some folks will change thier minds once prices start skyrocketing, and some may not be able to get them at all, either case results in a pixie in the middle,,,,,,, and while not a bad idea in general, I hope you would not be abused by disgruntled traders/sellers/buyers but it is a possibility....just sayin

That is definitely what would most likely happen but you never know if Trader D ended up blerting out how much they paid for it, or let's say that it was somehow discovered Trader D was offered the pin set at cost, I can see a load of drama piling up to a ridiculous level. However, drama is something that can't be prevented completely so I do see what you mean ^_^
