Hello!
Happy New Year!!!
I dont have a trading bag for my pins. Where could I buy a new one. I like the 5 pages ones. Any ideas?
thanks
Jorge

Hi there! Unless you happen to live by one of the parks, eBay is your best bet. Try a search for "small Disney pin bag," and you should probably plan on spending between 20 and 30 dollars.

I personally kind of outgrew my pin bag where I kept my traders, because it was too small. I now use a zip-up binder that I got in the clearance section at Office Max for $8. It has a strap and a handle, and I find it much easier to use than a pin bag. (I hated the floppy pages!)

I keep my traders that are still on cards in those 9 pocket plastic sheets that most people use as baseball-card-holders (they fit perfectly!), and I keep my traders that didn't come on cards (hidden mickeys, mystery pins, etc.) on those velvet/plastic sheets you can buy at the parks. (You can also buy them on Amazon here, but they're overpriced.)

Hope I helped!

Disney parks carry several styles. If you can go to a park you can get one there.

If you are not local to a park... Try these ideas.

Occasionally disneystore.com has a big trade bag available.
Park locals here on DPF can buy it for you and have it shipped.
eBay sells some basic trade bags, both custom and standard.
DPF sales threads occasionally have pin bags for sale, again, standard or custom.

The person above mentioned $20-30 and small... I am thinking you want BIG, like 7 inch by 12 inch at least, 5 double side pages inside?

I'll be at WDW next week (the 9th) and can get you a bag at cost plus shipping. You would just have to forward me the funds prior to me going. I would not have a problem doing this. I suspect Shipping would be in the neighborhood of $10.00, and I would either return the difference, or request any surplus cost... I think the bags at Disney (large ones) are at $49.95 for the basic ones without intricate design.

PM me if interested!

some of the styles at DLR, and i assume at WDW currently look like this:
Disney_Pin_Trading_Bag.jpg
standard large, 5 page.

this is a 3 ring binder with baseball card style sheets

large with cover flap. I like this one because it has a space for a basic 3 ring binder in the back compartment.

Basic Md bag. Not very big, and if you have more than about 70 pins it would be full.

small pin bag, only room for about 20-40 pins? maybe.

yeah, its a super neat bag. 3 ring binder, with that kind of thick cover, zippers shut. The sleeves inside can hold 9 pins on backer cards and are thicker than the cheap plastic baseball card sheets most folks use. It comes with um... 5? sheets. You can buy additional card sheets, or black hard plastic ones to go in there. At DLR i see these in DTD PT, WoD, and inside at Westward Ho and LGM.

Hey! I really dislike the bags that Disney sells in the parks or online. The old ones were so much better! They had really nice plastic sheets between every page and they were just better quality. They are pretty hard to find even on eBay but sometimes there out there, but can get a little pricey though.

Good luck!

I agree - I have used both a newer pin bag and older one, and now I only have an older one with the cloth pages (from the disney catalog days). I just found it hard personally to use the new rubber style pages that they have.

All the best in your search for finding the right one for you! ^.^

How much does this bag run?

I didn't see this mentioned, if it was, my mistake. You can also Google pin trading bag and find lots of non-Disney pin trading bags that might fill your needs at a cheaper price. I have done that and just sew a Disney patch or 2 to the front cover. That way it's unique and personalized, all at the same time. It will stand out among all the other Disney books. Easier to keep an eye on.

There's a guy on the forum, The_Mad_Stitcher that has used Disney pin trading bags (large) for $20. Don't know if it's the new or the old style though. Old style is better because you can't see the holes poked through by pins.

I had noticed at the D23-III event the new WDI bag had gone back to the old style pages.

Another place you can find bags are Hard Rock Café Rock Shops.

I'm not allowed to list the seller directly, but on Ebay there is a seller who has older style bags / with Disney iron-on's or patches attached for sale. It's just a matter of doing a little searching.
