So I'm finally putting my Alice pins on cork boards and I cannot find my set of minature pins. I'm so upset and was crying so hard I couldn't see. Would everyone please keep an eye out for these and if you find them let me know. I had them and now...I don't. This is the second time something has just disappeared in my house. I think I have a pin poltergiest.

Oh, so sorry to read this Margaret. I hope that you can find them in an unexpected place all of a sudden when least expected. (that is what happens to my lost items)
 
Ugh, I HATE when that happens. :( I am so sorry. I THINK I have that set (but it could be the other similar one). Let me go look and I will message you if I do. :)

Oh hon, I'm so sorry! Just breathe and keep looking - they'll show up!

We lost something and it took us hours to find just last night - granted it wasn't as important as pins...only the TV remote (we couldn't watch anything without it though...no one knows how to work the goofy TV without the remote...sigh). It had fallen down behind the sofa. Did you check there?

I've only got 14 more bags to look in and I'm so worried. If I don't find them I just don't know what to do. They used to be in the bag with the other set, but they weren't there. I'm going to start and room to room search tomorrow. I'll keep you posted. Keep sending those hunting vibes and pixie dust. I need it.
 
One of the first pins I ever traded for was the Christopher Robin mystery release pin. I was working at a school where the secretary was a big pin collector with years of experience on me. I only had a couple months of collecting under my belt, but because she was a big pirate collector and she had more than one, she traded Christopher Robin for a HM pirate ship. I walked back to my classroom and set it down, excited to be able to present it to my wife later (a big Pooh collector). I never saw it again. It still makes me sick, 4+ years later. Luckily, almost every other pin I've misplaced has turned up eventually, but I understand what a bad feeling it is, so I empathize.

My house is like a black hole. I swear it swallows stuff! Like my passport! I had to get a new one and I just KNOW my original one is in here SOMEWHERE!
 
Just remember that in the end they're just pins! If not finding the pin set is your biggest dilemma then you've got it pretty lucky in life! I'm sure they'll turn up somewhere. "They don't just grow legs." ;)
 
You know Scotty, things in my house do grow legs and they just walk off. I swear that has to be what happens. So anyway, I've been plowing though the pins bags when I suddenly realized that I was missing more than just that set of pins. That made me realize that I must have another bag of Alice pins. And .... I do. Not only was it most of my LE 100 sets, but the missing mini set was in there also. I'm a very happy girl and at 7:15 AM I was singing and doing my happy dance. Thank you so much for all the magic you sent my way. It was very, very helpful.
 
What great news Margaret! This has happened to me many times, and I have also panicked. Like you, a mysterious pin bag will appear out of nowhere with the missing stuff I was looking for. Glad you are happy now!!!
 
Only had to look in 12 bags when the realization hit me that I was missing an entire bag. So out of the four bags left I guessed the right bag. Of course now the room is a disaster, but I don't really care:)
