Just a quick reminder for all of you who trade and send pins via the US Mail. Effective January 27, 2013, the US postal rages will increase. And while first class postage is only going up $0.01 - you won't even notice if you use FOREVER stamps, there are significant rate increases for all other postal services and packages.

For a standard 1 - 3 ounce pin envelope you will now pay $2.07

For full details on the new prices, visit your local post office, or their web page at WWW.USPS.COM.

Just a reminder"KEEP YOUR RECIEPTS!especially for DC#'s and YOU no longer need those green tags, they print the DC# thats now .90 cents off the computer ..it will have the white./red label instead of you using the OLD green ones, also for US sending overseas the customs tags have changed as well

Yep! and to add to Judy's comment, just ask for tracking now instead of DC to the post office clerk.

international postage seems to have almost doubled!! I sent a packge to japan that is normally $3 something and it was $6.25!! Eeeek! Same to the UK. That will seriously limit the amount of international trading I can do which is sad :( :( :(

Wow, thats alot for international shipping. Was it a heavy pin package? Thats almost the cost of a pin at WDW!

Tracking is included in priority now. And even my first class packages had a DC-type number on the receipt. If it shows proof of mailing that's all I need for online transactions.

Just paid $6.55 to mail ONE pin to the U.K.!! I am now turning down International Trades unless we can do multiples. So sorry for our International Pin friends and vice versa to the USA.

Mike S.

Okay does anyone know how to mail an international package from CA to say Belgium. I want to do a trade but I've never mailed outside the U.S. What are the steps I need to take? Help!

to send international, you will need to fill out a customs form thing describing what your sending, price of object, senders info and persons receiving info on the form. Everything else is the same, but you fill out the form at the post office.

wonder when all the people cutting off UK trades or international traders will WANT to trade when there is a Tangled pin released..

SO true! If there was a Tangled or UP release everyone would go nuts (and want them at cost), even ppl not willing to trade internationally normally.

It's a shame that it'll stop some international trading happening but tbh if you cost it up,
(exchange rate checked today)

$6 = £3.80

At the moment and for the past errm I can't even remember how long! We have been paying £3.30 to post to the US so whilst it is a price hike, we in the UK have had to put up with higher priced postage for ages now and we all still trade internationally happily. The cost is so high that it costs the same to send one pin as it does to send one vinyl!

I was charged $23.95 to ship a Priority mail Small flat rate box overseas. Does anyone know where I can find the tracking info?!?

Doh! Thanks for your help! :)

Sadly, this rate increase for international mailing has pretty much knocked me out of trading overseas. I just mailed a small LBE to the UK -- 6 pins, 2.4 oz., $9.45!! That's double what it used to cost. I did check on heavier packages and once you hit the 1lb. mark, the rates did not seem to go up that much -- at least to Belgium. This really is a blow to those who trade internationally. Bobbie :stitch:
