Okay so I ordered a pin from Ebay (a lovely Ariel at a GREAT price) and the tracking number shows it was delivered yesterday, but it wasn't in my mailbox yesterday nor today. Has anyone had this happen to them? Do I contact my Post Office to see where it could have gone to? If this pin gets lost I will probably cry. I got a really good price on it! *sniffles*

I hate to tell you, but most likely your mail person screwed up and delivered it to the wrong address. If the person who got it is honest they will still drop it off at your house.

One day there was a fill in driver and they marked 3 packages as delivered. I didn't get any of them. When I went to the post office he said he delivered 5 packages. The problem with his story, I didn't have 5 packages coming. He delivered them to the wrong address at best and outright lied most likely. I hate our fill in drivers. They should all be fired. They just don't care about their job or the people they are supposed to be serving.

is there a main office where it could have been dropped off? I live in an apt and that is usually where all of the UPS and FedEx packages go. Good Luck! I would call a main office if you have one, then I would contact the post office...I would even recommend just going right there because over the phone they can sometime be a bit sassy.

I'd ask a neighbor. Before we got our current driver, my neighbor got my mail all the time. My moms check one time was put in my neighbors box and we didn't get it until he checked his mail a few days later. I'd give it a day or two to see if a neighbor has it. Not everyone checks their mail on a daily basis. If it doesn't show up, I'd file a complaint with the post office.

What pin did you get?

Ditto here, but mine wasn't a fill in. It was either his carelessness or, and I wouldn't doubt this either, someone walked by, I live on a fairly busy road, and helped themselves to my pins.

At least they put DC on it, so you know they mailed it.

It was [pinpics]15532[/pinpics] oh I really hope it was delivered to my next door neighbor because she is awesome and loves me and I know she would be honest. I don't know anyone else in the neighborhood. =/ It's full of military and several police officers so hopefully they'll be honest?

We have a new mailman and he is truly careless. I have to stalk him to get my packages. Last year I found someone's tax refund in the middle of the street. I delivered it. The people lived on the next block and couldn't believe I went out of my way to deliver it. I can't tell you the number of times that neighbors are bringing my mail or I am taking them theirs. It's crazy! Every time I know that I'm getting pins in the mail, I start stalking him. And yes I have reported him three different times.

I had this happen to me where the usps said it was delivered but it was accidently scanned too many times. The package I got came actually a day later so maybe wait until tomorrow and then if it doesn't get in the mail then call the post office. :)

We've had a scare like that sometime. Sometimes mailmen/women do not want to leave it in your mailbox (why? we do not know) and just keep it in their truck but since it was marked out for delivery when they left their post it will show up as it being delivered. Try to track down your mailman and see if he knows anything about it. :D

We hope you find it!

My mail person is also extremely careless, I get other peoples mail and my mail gets delivered who knows where sometimes. Fingers crossed that if that happened they are honest but.....because it has delivery confirmation the time it was scanned will give them the approximate area they were in at the time of delivery. I had to file a trace for a package that my mail person delivered and scanned delivered and by the time stamp they knew where she had to be and then went there and retrieved my package.

Good luck and if worse comes to worse be sure to go to your branch and file a locate claim.

Yes this has happened to me. Called USPS and made a claim but they found nothing so I contacted the seller. I was very nice but said that I will not leave feedback since I didn't get an item to leave feedback on. They acted like they didn't understand and was all innocent about it, told me they hope it shows up. Almost a month later when I was going to file a claim with Ebay it came in the mail. Hope this helps.

This just happened to me. I ordered the DSF Valentines day pins...like $200 ! Showed they were delivered to me....I was so upset. I got them like 7 days later...the SELLER had written the wrong number part of my address on the package, so it went to someone elses house. I don't know why these eBay sellers just don't use the automated address....hang in there. You can also make a claim with ebay and see what they can do for you .

Same thing happened to me.....Mail Carrier delivered to wrong address. Person opened it,and then brought it to me
They said "My wife accidently opened it,because she gets a lot of packages".....but luckily it had my stuff in it,and didnt make too big of a deal out of it
(even though that is against the law)

We just had that happen to us this last week. It was put in our neighbor's box (we also have the street combined units). Unfortunately our neighbor didn't check their mail for a few days. We asked them about it and they checked. Both the packages we were waiting for were in their box.

I'm an internet retailer and I send out 100's of packages each week. On ocassion the post office will actually scan the package in the post office when it arrives instead of when it was actually delivered and it will then be delivered the very next day. Hopefully this is what has happened to your package. Otherwise it might have been delivered to someone else by mistake.

It used to happen to me so often that I got tired of it and decided to get a UPS mail box at the UPS store. Never had a problem since...although paying monthly fees for a job that should have been done right in the first place by the USPS is annoying...but at least I can be sure that I never have to be home for my mail/packages and that it will be delivered 100% of the time.

I do hope you get it/find it!

Remember not too long ago the mailman was someone you trusted lik a cop. Someone who is supposed to be highly trained and scrutinized due to the fact they are in charge of mail covered under Federal law. Now mailmen look like homless people, dirty, unshaven, pissy and lazy. Yet another company run by the US government that is colapse......lets keep giving more moneyso they can screw up more companies and programs....:soapbox:

ooops got off the track. anywho, i have had increasing problems with mail. 7 days last week to get a bday card from vero beach fla to NJ--i coulda driven there, got it and been home.

Good luck and def write a complaint--EVERYONE SHOUDL EVERYTIME. not just to you local, but email or mail to the next level up at your state intake.

My ebay package said delivered as of monday, still no package... gonna give it until Friday but no leg to stand on with ebay, thank god they weren't expensive pins

This happened to me very recently and I was so worried bc the pin that I bought was REALLY expensive. The say it marked as delivered, I didn't get ANY MAIL though. However, the very next day I tracked it again, and it went back to "Out for Delivery" as the most recent scan! & i got it! :) so this happens...

I was wondering whether you got your pin and then I saw you did...yay!

BTW, I've had a PO Box for years and had at least three to four instances (between me & sis buying) that the post office showed the item had been delivered to the po box. So I go and look, nope, nowhere to be found. Post office can't find it (of course) and they act all  and give the standard government answer (our records show it was delivered).

But I suppose it's better than having it delivered to the house since the post man doesn't like to walk up the front walkway and usually dumps it by the mail box on the street. Or if they do come up the walkway (we are on a busy street), won't hide it behind the pillar but leaves it lying around on the FRONT PORCH!

Signature confirmation for anything you can't afford to replace is my new motto....
