WDI Frozen set sold out

I tried to make the purchase at 8:45 am, Eastern Time, and it wasn't there. I don't know what happened, but I guess it's a burden I should be happy I avoided.
 
My friend was at The WDW hub at 11:00 EST and they were sold out. I'm not even upset. Didn't really expect to get them. If I'm meant to get them one day, I will, if not I will live. I love the pins I have acquired. I'm getting blood drive Olaf soon and very nice open edition pins are coming out soon. I have come to the conclusion, I will not be a completist anyway, I sure do not have $5,000.00 to go to Norway. Although don't forget the DCL is going to Europe and one of their stops will be Norway. When I have cruised before, I have seen other Adventures By Disney pins on cast members lanyards.

My family member got the confirmation and credit card info phone call when we were out at dinner. So I am a happy camper!
 
:lol: I'm not sure if I should be sarcastic ("Oh wow! I didn't expect this set to sell out so fast!") or perhaps a bit antagonistic at the fact that Disney messed up on the Frozen WDI pins...can't wait to see what they look like once people get them, but I'm only after Anna and Elsa (I may not even want Anna honestly...).
 
I would not be surprised if they sold out on line to cast members before the actual release through pre-orders.
 
See I know nothing about how cast members get them. I told my friend using a 3 hour time difference to try her hub at 11:00 EST. I didn't no that you could order prior to the pre order and she doesn't collect pins, so she was just going by what I learned from others. If I misunderstood Rocke01, my apologies. I really hope the cast members that wanted them, keep them. But we know that's a far cry from the hope and wish. LOL

I am pretty sure they went up at 11 EST. Can't say the exact minute though. They were up for about 30 minutes I heard? Lasted longer than I thought.
I have seen only two sets for sale so far, so maybe people are actually keeping them?? *gasp!*. I know I heard a lot of CMs were helping out friends who collect so maybe they ended up in the right hands?
 
Did you get one for you Alex ? Would be happy to know that at least one kind Frozen completist managed to grab one...
This is time for me to stop pin trading, I only wanted to continue last year because a new movie with princesses was released...
But I knew that the moment I had to stop would happen... And with this set, it's the end for me ^^
