What DON'T you collect? Why?
I don't collect vinylmations. No vinylmation figures, pins, etc. unless they are wall-e related. I just can't get into them.

I hate pins with writing on it period, I have a few in my collection but they are mostly POM... and hey what can you do... in the end, when I buy or trade for a pin its something I don't mind getting stuck with... so I have a varied collection but dates and words I'd prefer on the backing or the back of the pin

A few pin subjects I try to avoid at all costs:

1.) Jessica Rabbit- Something about the sexual vibe of the pins weirds me out lol

2.) Club Penguin- I don't get the fascination with these pins. Do people buy these?

3.) itty bitty pins.

I really, really dislike any sort of rubber or furry elements on a pin:rant:

Things I refuse to collect:

1. Jessica Rabbit...for the same reason Scotty doesn't.
2. Live/action, and Disney channel. Not a fan of Disney Channel shows, and I think other live action movies just don't look good as pins.
3. Vinylmation. Just can't get into it.
4. I also hate those pins that are pins of cell phones or a shoe with a character slapped on them. I think those are unimaginative. So I'd never get one of those.

COLLECT = ANY Villain(s)!!

DO NOT COLLECT = ANYTHING Pooh or Pooh related, just don't like the character or story line.

I absolutely will not collect anything vinylmation. I simply don't get it. :/

I don't collect live action pins. I want cartoons/artwork and not real pictures of people on my pins.

I don't collect Jessica. I think she is a little too "adult" for Disney pins. I admit I have a few but only because they fit into my Alice obsession, but I shouldn't feel awkward or not be able to show my mom or grandma a pin I have in my collection.

Other than that I really only collect Alice, maleficent, Marc Davis pirates, and stretching portraits, so if it doesn't fit there then I don't collect it.

I do not collect anything that is not Stitch or Pluto, because I have no space left in which to store other character pins. Also, it is too expensive to collect anything more than this for me. Every once in a while, there is a pin released of a princess or a PTN pin that I have to have, but that is the only time I deviate from Stitch and Pluto.

the only pins we can say we don't collect is vinylmation.... don't know why we don't like them but we think they look weird, strange and odd, also ugly, stupid and utterly un-disney they should all be destroyed and never allowed to returned...but we can't really tell you why??

I agree you fully. Not sure why they were ever created in the first place. Aren't they making enough money of us pin traders?

My biggest issue right now is that it seems the cutest Halloween pins have years on them.....AAAAAHHHHHGGGG!

(I'm ok now)

Halloween is a really hard time of the year to stick with your characters, because there are so many cute pins released from everywhere. ugh....

I can understand not collecting pins with years on them. If you're buying them, and plan to trade them, then a year definitely limits your market of who would want it... Likewise I would not want to trade with someone for a pin with a random year on it.

But if there was a pin that I really liked, that I planned to keep in my collection, that I was getting while I was in the park, then I would have no problem with the year. It would serve as a reminder of that specific trip!

Personally I don't collect princesses or any Disney Channel stuff.

I sooooo feel ya on that one.... and I too have contemplated getting the orange bird one but I'm not 100% sure yet lol

Laz, you need the Orange Bird one! I was lucky to get one for Joni(Blacksmoke) at the event. It was really cute! I don't collect Vinyls either, but I can't resist the Pluto one! A really nice guy in the registration line at The Florida Project saw that I like Pluto. He asked if I had the Pluto Vinyl figure. I told him that I did not, and he gave me one! Soooooo nice. He expected nothing in return! I love pin/vinyl traders!

Anyway, I don't collect Disney Channel or HS Musical. I'm not a big fan of writing. I am more of a character driven collector.

You all say you don't get the vinylmation thing, then you'll see 1 vinylmation you like out of a series, buy a blindbox, and be hooked. True story.

*cough*Buzz Lightyear*cough*

;D

I don't think vinylmations were meant for us pin traders to collect per say. It just spilled over for some pin traders who do enjoy vinylmations. Vinylmations appeal to people who collect vinyl toys/figures. There is a whole other world of vinyl collector's (not necessarily Disney related.) I think some of the Disney one's can look quite unattractive, but there is quite a few cute ones as well. ^.^ As for pins I try to avoid my hardest is dangle pins. They are so annoying yet I have I quite a few. xD

! Yep, I didn't like the idea of vinylmations when I first saw them (they were selling park 2 at the time) but it only took a few the next couple of series to come out before I became completely addicted. I guess some people don't get them the way some other collectors don't get pins. Unfortunately for me, I got hooked on both- well, unfortunate for my wallet at least

Yeah, Unfortunately NOW I want both of the Orange Bird Vinyls and It's just too expensive for me Right now :/ <3 ...someday I will get one I Hope...

Personally I think the AP Orange Bird is far cuter than the more expensive Cast Chaser one - the drawings on his ears are more detailed and he comes with a tin! hope you are able to get the ones you are after!

I really Agree with you! that's why I just can't bring myself to pay the ebay prices on them :/ Besides being broke right now. Even if I had the Money I don't think I would be happy paying more than the price of the nice one which is only like $16 I think who knows maybe the prices will come down on them, I still watch them on ebay but i never bid on them.
