I have almost every Sci-Fi Academy event pin they made and I held 2 of these on two different occasions at LGM and was going to buy them and said, "nah, I don't like it all that much." It was about the first time I was buying LE pins. I bought the posters and not this. Now it's a sleeper hit with cult following and has skyrocketed in pin value. I just don't know if I want it that bad or not. I've never played Kingdom Hearts so I can only appreciate it as a Sci-Fi Academy pin and it's not so much retro nor science fiction as it is about a video game Anime people seem to love. So...to bid or not to bid...that is the question.

I am a huge Kingdom Hearts fan, so I'll just fill you in :) Kingdom Hearts has been a cult hit for quite some time, well before this pin came out. The reason why the pin didn't do so well at the beginning was because a lot of KH fans were unaware of its existence (Disney had largely ignored Kingdom Hearts before this pin's release with only menial things coming out here and there). However, after fans discovered it was out, they mobbed the pin and took them all up. The problem with this though is that many of those fans who bought pins (including myself at the time) aren't involved in pin trading so they most likely will not be looking to trade theirs away. This makes the pin even more exclusive and hard to find nowadays since the actual number of people trading it has decreased a large amount (I wouldn't be shocked to say 100 or so are owned by KH fans who won't trade nor sell it under any circumstances, like myself as well lol).

For this reason, when I see someone like locostitch auctioning it off or trading it, I always make it a point of try and at least make sure I bid because as time goes on and more KH fans get another pin, the real number of pins that will ever be put back on the gray market decreases, making this pin even more rare. Honestly, because I do want the pin, I would normally have urged you NOT to bid, but I cannot do that to locostitch, who has been kind to me, and I definitely want this pin to go for a lot, because I love Kingdom Hearts and know it is worth it (I actually plan on posting my KH collection up on these forums early next year).

really no ones really bid okay no sorry i know this pin is amazing and I don't have much but I will give this my shot because I want this pin. I as well never play KH but I know the whole storyline. you culd say I'm a KH stalker.
