There's a pin on my grail list up for sale. On PinPics there are 195 wanting and 0 trading. Imagining you're in my shoes, what is the absolute highest amount you would be willing to pay?

Yeah, it all depends on the pin. There are pins with better T/W ratios out there than certain Frozen and Tangled pins, but they go for far less than those Frozen/Tangled pins. It all depends on character, you can PM me the pin if you don't want to say it out loud in fear someone else will buy it (since I assume that's why you're not naming the pin).

If I had the funds I would go for it! With NO ONE trading it it might not come around again in a LONG time! I am pretty sure I know the pin in question and it is a desired pin!

Well, I am a newer member, but some of you may know I really love Traders Delight pins. It's the Pip Traders Delight pin. Now what do you guys think? Would I be silly to pay big money? Should I just be patient, or go for it? In the end, I know it's up to me and how much I want it, but it would be great to have the opinions of those with more knowledge and experience.

For me, I would have to say it would first depend on what I truly could afford to spend on it, second would be the pin and how badly I wanted it in my collection! I have had to let a lot of amazing pins go, at great prices, just because I could not put the money out without affecting daily life! I hate when that happens!

Well, what is it that you like about the pin traders delight pins? Is it the variety of characters? Is it the cute little ice cream cones or sundaes? Or is it that you are working on being a completist and will try to collect all of them! Although Pip is considered a pin traders delight (and yes, I have read the addition to the description of the pin indicating that perhaps Pip has a cherry in his hand that he has stolen from a sundae) I consider him as a GWP! There were several pins given out when you purchased a sundae at the DSF that really had no connection to ice cream or a soda fountain. Will you try to collect these pins too? The only one that can answer your question is you! Is the pin that important to you and do you have the funds to purchase it! With 0 people trading it, it most likely will not come up for trade or sale any too often. The decision is all up to you!!!

Decide what you can live with. Will you be happy for days and days if you get it, or will you be miserable forever always remembering how close you came to getting it. Only you know how much it means to you.

I was in a somewhat "similar" situation with a 0 trade/50 wants ratio. Even though not too many people wanted this pin, I absolutely had to have the pin because of its meaning. I purchased the pin a little over a year ago (for what some people said was too much money), and still do not regret the pin. It carries a lot of meaning. If the cost is affordable to you and if you can see yourself admiring the pin for years to come, get it. Just be sure that you are comfortable with spending that much money and confident that you will not regret spending the money once you have had the pin for some time.

If you have the disposable income, and if you know it will make you happy, I say go for it! I know I have seen a pin that I really wanted and thought it cost too much, and now I regret not buying it!! Although at the same time, some pins decrease in value eventually, and it's just a waiting game. Pip is a hard to find pin, so I know this is a tough decision. Good luck!
