Do you keep the backing cards on them? I'll be able to fit more pins on my board without them, but they look good with them! Opinions?

I do not keep them on, I keep track of what card goes to what pin and I store mine. My displays/frames would not look good with the cards tho!

I am working on a display right now Sarah, I don't keep card unless they're unusual ones...I prefer to keep track of what card belongs to which pin, and store them xx

Thanks I'm going to start making a lion king only board, might keep my DSF backers on but the rest I will remove and store xx

Since I use a binder I almost always need some sort of backing card because I use baseball card holders. without them the pins fall out of the sleeve; On a board however, from which I use to use, it's a compromise between look and space. It all depends on your preferences. They're your pins aren't they? lol

It might be a good idea to keep the board somewhere in case you ever trade and the other person "needs" the board, but in my opinion most frames/displays look better without the board. Unless you're displaying on plain corkboard, then maybe it'll look better with the board...

These are not LE's but I don't think that changes anything MOST of the time, not all...

It's just plain cork at the moment, but I want try and make a themed background. Possibly black fabric with silver pride rock outline and stars.... Sadly I lack artistic ability

I know it takes up a bit more space, but I love to display ALL my pins, LE or not with the backer cards or boxes, whether they be displayed in a pin bag or frame. Also, it helps me to remember if a certain pin is an LE or not.

The 3 that I have made, the wife just hot glued black fabric onto cork board, but your idea of black fabric with a possible pride rock and stars would look great. I think just a silver/white stars on black fabric would look really nice, and wouldn't require much artistic ability. Good luck and looking forward to seeing the final result.

Ok, so I just drew this up. It's not perfect but I still like it. I have decided to remove the backer cards and it does look better

Love your display!!

For my board, I don't put the backer cards on there. I originally did for my Brave pins (when I still actively collected them) but found they take up too much room.

Thanks yes I did like them with the backers on, but now I've made this I do think it looks nicer and has more room to fill!
