Why? Why? Why? Why? Why? Why!
I normally just PM the seller and let them know, the last pin sold for x amount, and yours is the same if not worse condition, so if you want to sell it, Im here now, or you can continue to waste time and money by leaving it on ebay

Perhaps the sellers don't think you are offering a reasonable price and they are responding in a way to that reflects that. If someone thinks their pin(s) are worth $150 and you offer 55% of the asking I am going to bet you will almost always get rejected.

having occasionally sold items on eBay at BIN OBO pricing, i can say that there is a auto decline option. I believe for those with "shops" you can also set it up to automatically counter offer.

So I have a story about people and their stupid pin pricing on ebay. This guy had the BATB puzzle pin, a pin I have been looking for for three years. He listed it $275 BIN OBO I offered $150, rejected instantly, okay I was desperate I hadn't seen one in over a year $175? Rejected. A few days later another set came up for $20 and went up to $90 where it sold. I wanted to buy it but I was saving my money for a Tangled grail and passed it up (which I totally regret). So the first time I saw it over a year ago it sold for $50, I know this because I missed out on it by $0.50! >.< So I messaged him and said okay this pin sold for $50, then $90 so I think I am being more than fair when I offer you $110 for it. What do you think? He replied after a few days: I have done a lot of research and found out that I am the only one selling this pin so I am going to relist it for $275 BIN ONLY. WHAT? How is it automatically worth $200 more 2 days after the last sale? Delusional shark. I am not sure when ebay became the pin trading bible but I thought trading was based upon LE size and popularity, not "how much is it going for on ebay?" These resellers have no restrictions in their pricing and do not accurately judge values (obviously!). We shouldn't let the evilbay control us! It makes me very frustrated when I am told that I would need to add something to an LE 100 pin trade for an LE 300 to make it fair because of gouging sharks on ebay. It makes me angry! Obviously...

That drives me nuts as well. I've seen people value pins for more than they are worth because of ebay. Just because a pin is on ebay for $100, doesn't mean its actually worth that much. Usually if a pin is sitting for months on end, no one is willing to pay the ebay price. I wish people understood that.

Me too. I wish people understood that just because it is listed for a certain price on Ebay, it doesn't mean that it "sells" for that price.

oh gee sorry everyone is so irritated. I never really bother with the OBO pins. I will say i bid with basically one seller at this point because i have never had a problem with any of the pins or the shipping...and i guess since i pay her car payment each month LOL when i do fancy a pin that is an OBO by her, i usually get accepted, but i only do it maybe 3x a year.

Be patient folks you will get your pins....when you least expect it you will get one at a great price or on here for sale or a trade....we can all help eachother--look at signatures bla bla bla. anyway who really WANTS to get all there wants? Then what? Your done collcting? NOOOOO you'lll just find more grails you want LOL

We all need to stop buying them at that price. If we keep spending the money they will get away with the crazy prices they are asking. it is only worth what you are willing to pay if they ask 300.00 and get no one to buy it then sooner or later they will either not sell anymore or lower the prices.

I SO AGREE! its so fustrating. ive seen the same seller list the same pins, for months and months and month all with best offers, all rejected.... and not asking bad prices, just prices ive seen it sell before.

I just find those sellers funny, because they constantly fail and yet still are under the false idea that their pin is worth so much lol xP If they are selling a OE pin for $75 and it never sells, they must just not want to sell it...in which case, let them keep it for all I care.
