SOLD! WDW Sporadic Pickups: At Cost Lotto - 9/17 Drop
That's right! Merlin is coming out of retirement!
This pandemic has been nuts and I'm sure we're all a bit exhausted. Pins in particular have been a madhouse between shopdisney's inability to handle mass traffic, poor shipping, bots, and our general fatigue. And so, I'm dusting off the old pickup back for a spell to try and bring some joy back to the hobby.
As you're aware, WDW is slowly but surely putting LE pins back in the park. But they're also limiting the number of people who can get into said parks. So while I'm diving back in, it's definitely the shallow end, hahah! Pickups will be extremely limited as I won't be able to do my usual rounds, and I'll do my utmost to fulfill as many orders as I can, but this definitely isn't going to be to the scale many of you remember.
BUT! I can promise you that my shipping is better than shopdisney and no bots can get to me! (That's right, @DisneyJ, you have no power here!). I likely won't do this more than a few months, so don't get too attached. ;P
How it Works:
I'll decide which days I'm going up on a particular month, probably no more than twice a month. On that week's Monday, I'll post what pins are available according to what I've seen posted by outlets like DisneyPinsBlog. The only LE pins you are able to requests are the ones listed in the Open for Requests section below or ones that were released the previous week. You cannot pre-request pins for future weeks. Requests will be open from that Monday until Wednesday evening around 9pm EST. After that, I’ll randomize the list and put you guys in pick-up order so you’ll have a good idea of your chances and can plan accordingly. Please keep “drop-offs” (where you drop off the list) at a minimum until Thursday afternoon.
If there is a pin (LE or OE) that I don't have listed, you can ask if it's available, but I'm not totally sure I'll get to it.
REGARDING MYSTERY BOXES: As of now, Disney is limiting Mystery boxes to 2 per person (yes, even LR boxes). As such, that is going to be REALLY hard to fill a ton of orders. I'll do my best, but be aware that orders over 2 will likely not get filled completely. In the past I've offered to open these boxes to help facilitate trading, but I don't believe I'll be doing that this time around.
Payments:
Invoices will go out Thursday afternoon or Friday morning. You will have 72 hours from the time of your invoice to pay or arrange payment or your requests will no longer be honored. Lagging payments and “ghosted” requests have been the biggest problem and headache in past years, so please try to pay timely. I'm retired, ain't nobody got time for that. ;P
If you need more time, simply let me know—that counts as “arranging” payment.
Cost will be: Retail* + Total Tax on your order + $1 surcharge per pin + shipping** (+ handling fees if paying as :goods" rather than "gift").
**Shipping is $3.75 for US shipping for the first pin, then $0.50 per additional pin. (Orders including jumbos, box sets, or unopened mystery boxes may incur additions shipping charges). I’m happy to hold pins for the entire month to save on shipping if you are selected for multiple pins.
**FOR INTERNATIONAL BUYERS: Please be sure to mention this in your comments so that you get the correct invoice the first time. Shipping just a few pins to Europe and overseas is often a whopping $15!! Canada is often a more moderate $9. Be aware, this is not my price, but USPS, and your exact shipping cost will be calculated based on the weight of the package. I can ship out international orders quarterly (so every 3 months) to try and maximize that shipping. Honestly, since you’re not guaranteed pickups from this lotto, that’s a bit risky for the cost, so just keep that in mind when you’re requesting.
*Retail costs are estimations only based on past releases. I’m pretty good at predicting it, but be aware costs (especially for mystery boxes, box sets, or jumbos) may change significantly from the estimation.
Shipping:
All domestic orders will ship out at the end of the month unless you indicate you would like it shipped out earlier. No domestic orders will be held over from month to month.
International orders will be on a case-by-case basis but cannot be held more than three months at a time, especially for bigger orders.
