Anyone decides to sell any, then that is business too. You want to buy it, then you can. If you can't afford it, then your in the same boat as thousands, including me. Again, I'll live. :)

Yes! Limited edition items really can make people bad and ugly :( I just hope for ALL of this thread because here all want really these dolls for a passion,not for money. I really hope we will can get the doll/dolls we will want. :)

I know how pretty and popular they are,but c'mon..
I order today my soft plush of Punzel for just 10£ (not 16) :) If i will dont have my doll,i hug the plush and feel happy,and someday i bough on ebay or to somebody :)

Please dont turn this wonderful forum in a bad forum just for these dolls. :)

Can I make one suggestion? I know it won't solve all the tension, but maybe it would be best if all doll request for help are kept in the "other for sale/wanted" section.
 
Ok wow! Everyone just RELAX! We still have over a week to go, you will get your dollies! Do not freak out over this and be calm! We have two official chances to get these dolls, first in store and then online. If for some reason you can't get your doll after that then you have a few other ways to try, first your friends or family and the KIND people on this board. Were here to help each other out! No one should be saying anything about how they are going to resell their dolls and make a ton of money. this site is for collectors NOT for resellers! I think that it is alright to ask people on here for their help, even multiple people, anything that will help make you feel less stressed about this whole thing and more EXCITED :) were Disney collectors after all, let this be fun and don't let a few "sharks" ruin it for you!

If all else fails there is also eBay, which it isn't the end of the world if you have to resort to getting your doll here. LIsten, in a month or two the prices of these dolls will drop, just look at the snow white doll, in a matter of two weeks you can now get it for about 150 less then when it came out! It's ok just be patient if you don't get your doll wait for the prices to go down and buy it then. Remember us collectors are the ones to set the price, if everyone freaks out and brings the price up to $500 each then we can only blame ourselfs for panicing!

Sorry if I offended anyone. I actually collect the dolls, and have wanted them since before they were announced at the D23 Expo Event. I have 6 of the dolls, including the D23 Disney Store 25th Anniversary Silver Cinderella doll. I just wanted to know people's input, but I was planning to camp out the day prior to Monday because of the madness I had seen at my mall. Last time I went I came at 6:45am and I was lucky enough to be 10th in line, and everyone got double; and after I came 20-30 people still lined up. I was super pissed because everyone in front of me brought their boyfriends or husbands with them to buy a 3rd/4th set of dolls I know just to sell on ebay. I'm glad Disney is limiting it to 1 princess per doll now, but I still think this is going to be crazy maybe. I know people only started going psycho after these dolls after Ariel, Ariel is still selling for $300 to $400 on ebay. I want to complete my collection, and I'm stupid for not buying the presale of the whole doll collection @ the D23 event but I had no idea that these dolls were going to be so popular.

I have to disagree with you slighty. When it comes to people buying the doll for purely resale value then that is up to them and if they bump up the price but sell it here then they are obviously thinking of themselves AND the forum so they get a decent deal. As at the end of the day everyone is entitled to do what they want.

If re-sellers are such a bad thing to hinder a collecter gettig a doll then wouldnt anyone getting a 2 for themselves be in the same boat as them since they are hindering the amount of dolls available for the collector to purchase.

I think this thread should be closed and not open for discussion anymore as everyone is getting a little over the top about these dolls. no one is entitled to any of these dolls.

You want them. get off your butt and go queue up or try and buy them online like everyone else as you wont get anywhere just complaining about them.

Im getting a rapunzel to re-sell down the line but does that make me a bad person..No it doesnt Im just taking the chance to get one to make me some money when I dont have a job and if it can get me some money for a few weeks then so be it.

(I will wait to flammed for saying Im buying one to resell)

Tinker, I think the illness is messing with your head. I'm sure that no one, myself included, intended to have an "attitude" toward you. We all like you a great deal and if I could get you that Cinderella pin I would get it for you in a heartbeat. You are a very kind, generous person and I'm sure that you are just letting things get you down. Chin up and life will get better.....maybe not tomorrow, but it will get better. I wish you good luck with the dolls and hope you get what you hope to get, whatever that might be. We all need to calm down and realize that it is what it is and that's life.

Going back to the discussion of the actual dolls, how are people displaying them? I've uploaded pictures to my profile of how i've done it if anyone wants to see (if you can stop arguing for a bit and appreciate the pretty!)
 
I guess i'm saying that i don't think that reselling is horrible, If I could get my hands on two of the same doll I'm probably going to sell the extra (I sold an extra Belle...) and yes probably make a lot of money if i was to do this. I Just feel that since this is a collector board that people shouldn't be talking about how they are going to make so much money off these dolls. Emotions are running high now, I don't want there to be a big fight over this, we don't need anymore drama :) But yes no one is entitled to a doll because you are a "mega collector" or whatever. I think that for the most part people that have been posting are all pretty big disney fans/ collectors and deserve the doll as much as the next collector.

Thank you for bring us back lol :) I am going to buy a shelf probably paint it get some nice fabric and glitter :) have the dolls and other Disney collectibles in-between them. I'm excited to get displaying them. Anyone else going to display them?

Stybbafirefoot- I would love to see how you displayed yours but I can' find it can you please post the pictures on here?

I can't see your photos, but would love to see how you display them! :) The dolls are gorgeous but I realize I just don't think I have the room to display them the way I'd like to. Part of the reason I love forums is that I can see how others enjoy their collections even if it's something I can't personally have. Can't wait to see how people who are collecting the whole series will display them all! :)

I put them on some built in book cases. I only have Snow White, Mulan, and Cindy out so far- the other two are Christmas presents. And between each doll is her mug. I went ahead and bought all the mugs I wanted to correspond to the remaining dolls I hope to get. The built in book cases are on each side of a fireplace so I'll probably split the dolls up on each side to make it look even.
 
I have bookshelves to display them on....should be done tomorrow.

The dolls here in Oregon have sold well, but I cannot for the life of me see people camping at the mall for them. Nope. Yeah, maybe a couple hours before the mall opens but it's too darn rainy and crummy here to actually camp out on a Monday morning. Black Friday for a cheap tv or iPad? Yeah, I can see that, but not for this case. Just trying to be a voice of reason....

Four to eight plus hours on a weekday morning is a bit too much for expensive dolls in the Oregon economy right now....we shall see but I have resolved to be calm. If it's meant to be, it's meant to be.
 
Unfortunately due to financial reasons, I can't get any of the other dolls anymore. Currently trying to sell the Snow White doll I have. :/

Anyway, good luck to everyone trying to get them! :)
 
Oh oops, I've made the album public now! I'd love to see pictures of some of these ideas.

I need to take some more up to date pictures as they now have the journals and mugs alongside them.
 
i have an extra Mulan, only because I guess my trade fell throught with fantom . I'm not sure what happened to him . Unless he got low numbered dolls and sold mine , bought Mulan and made a few bucks . If thats the case, no biggie . But a PM would have been the kind thing to go . Everyone just seems like they are out for themselves and to cut everyone else's throat . I have 5 people lined up to go with me . We are staying at the Hilton the night before and I'll have my family lined up hours b4 opening and at 9 AM with my cast ID , I will meet my friend . I will be the first one in the door with her to which she's putting my 2 Punzels, Jasmine & Aurora behind the counter, than I'm joining my family . Pat & Annie & Barb will be getting there Rapunzels and what ever other doll of interest they want . I called my dear friend yesterday and under the circumstances of my health she is going to make this happen for us . It really does pay to have such a dear friend . I told her I would not put her on the spot and would go to NYC . Her comeback, nonsense, you are getting what you want here . You are a regular customer and CM . She knows the sharks and will get me in before others especially since I'll have my shirt and cast ID . So those of you that had little faith in me and asked everyone else , I wish you luck, cause DH and I are going to WDW first week of December by selling three Rapunzels . I bet these darn things will fetch $600. each or more . I will post my treasures and you can all drool and say why did I not listen to Tinker . And yes I'm in a vile mood ! I don't feel good and this greediness & yelling is just too much .
Get off your tuffs and line up at your store hours before opening and stop your damn whining . If I have a change of heart ( that would be you Margaret) I'll see about your Aurora . But I'm keeping the Punzels now . Like everyone being cut throat with the designer pins, pay backs a ***** .

What's wrong with all? They are just dolls! Cute,beautiuful,fashionable dolls..but... DOLLS (Plastic)!!

I hope this thread going good again like the first 3-4 weeks. With Snow White the people going out.
I hope all have the dolls they want but JUST the true lovers of these dolls and the collectors.

Plastic sure is pretty though!
Eventually all the dolls will make their way to happy homes, maybe not at first though :p
If you lived here in the U.S, I can imagine many people would line up with you for your Punzy :)

But... Dinsey make these dolls for US and UK and online... the history is gone this way. Good luck to everyone! :)
 
I hope we soon hear what time they will be put up on the website. It seems like ages ago that Snowy arrived but now the 17th seems so close!

I would call any mall they you are planning to go to because a lot of malls will not allow people to camp out overnight. Most malls consider this trespassing if you are there after hours.
 
stybbafirefoot I love the pictures of your collection!!! they look lovely with there pirnces in the boxes with them, I bet that took some carefull work though!! lol (loving the wwe figures peeking in the side of the pics there!! im hope to go to miami next year for wrestlemaina!! ;-) )
 
stybbafirefoot- Your display of the dolls looks great! I like that you put the princes with their princesses! You have a lot of disney collectables, I like all your Jim shore things. Also that Stitch tower of terror thing is very cute :) Thank you for keeping this thread positive! You got me so excited for next Monday so I can start displaying (hopefully..) my new dolls! I would love to hear how other people are displaying theirs!
 
What has happend here?? I just got Cinderella today thanks to a dear friend in the UK the reason i forgot about the realize of the dolls is due to my father being very sick and in and out of hospital it wasnt till i saw a friends flickr i remembered:( But im ok i have managed to get 4 of the 5 so far released its just a matter of waiting for them to come:) Cinderella is just beautiful i love her dress and the carriage she is perfection in my eyes:)
