Anyone going to that?

If so, what time are you getting there?

Idk if I need to wait all night like the UP release or not...

Don't worry about this event. Everyone I'll get the pins, but it's the surprise releases that might sell out if they are any good. I wonder what they will be. :)

Yeah, they almost always have a surprise release with the dsf events. A few times the surprise is an le150, but it could also be le300. We don't know. :)

I think the best part of the events are the drawings and supposedly they are going to be having a big ticket item as a special grand prize. I can't wait to see what it is. :)

What are these events like? Do you trade with others, or just buy the pins released on these days?
These are actual events and are different than releases. During a release there is some trading, but that is initiated by the traders. During the events they have tables set up for us in the lobby of the theater for us to trade after we purchase the pins. You don't have to wait in line and buy the pins if you don't want to. You can just show up and trade or be a part of the raffles. I'm still debating whether I want any of the pins. It's a lot of fun and at the end of the event they have the raffle. Sometimes they also have trading bags that you can trade one pin for a random pin hiding in a bag. I don't know if they will have that. It is super early (6:30am) when the event starts so I find that people are a little tired from waiting and being up early, so trading isn't as intense as a PTN unless you have pre-set trades for that morning. But overall it is a lot of fun. I love any excuse for a trading event.

I'll probably go. Hopefully I can score a few Marquee pins from the veterans. I heard there was a suprise release during the Up event. I asked Ed if the over 150 crowd could at least count on a suprise pin and he said "Don't count on it..." But when I asked about the trading event he had a sparkle in his eye. I'll go, it will be my first DSF trading event. The NBC one just didn't seem like my scene so I skipped it. Only the suprise pins and maybe one other sold out at the NBC event. I don't think this event will be hugely popular.

Thank you for the great info!!! I really would like to attend now! What time would you suggest going at to ensure I receive the pins they are selling?

Haha! That's the question that started this thread. Basically everyone I have talked to thinks arriving around 5 or 6 am should be fine.

Oh wow! That is a great pin weekend. I'll be at PTN for sure. Might not make it to the others. February is a busy birthday month for me. :/

Would someone be kind enough to pick me up a Thumper & Cheshire Reel pin, please ? And if the release pin is a goodie and you can snag more than one, I'd very much like one of those . I can send payment in advance . Pleae PM me ! Thank You In Advance !
