Grim's Farewell Bag-O-Crap
The confusion and disappointment here comes from Fantasy pins, I think. This is the regular sales sub-forum and fantasy pins are not allowed here. Therefore, BoC buyers probably did not expect those pins.

Fantasy pins are other non-Disney stuff and belong to the "Other" for sale sub-forum as stated in Sales Forum guidelines:http://disneypinforum.com/showthread.php?40-Sales-Forum-General-Rules

You may post your authorized/authentic Disney pins and other pin accessories for sale in this forum, as well as requests for pins you are looking to buy.
.
.
.
Looking to sell or search for fantasy pins or other Disneyana items? Please post your items and requests in the "OTHER" For Sale/Wanted forum.

I think the "Other for Sale/Wanted" forum would be more appropriate for future BoC offerings.

Just for a reminder here is the official Bag o Crap Commandments from the original thread.

And of course... the BoC Commandments:

I. Thou shalt not expect nothing beyond ONE bag of some kind and THREE crappy pin related items (you did order three, right?)
II. Thou shalt not whine and complain when some people's crap turns out to be nicer than yours.
III. Thou shalt take a moment to consider whether you might be better off just not buying this crap.
IV. Thou shalt not blame anyone but thyself if you misseth out because thou hast not created a PayPal account. It's free.
V. Shalt thou not get the crap you want, want the crap you get.

You guys kinda shouldn't be disapointed . . . . He said it would be "pin related" Not offical disney pins. And so far I think the boc's have been pretty phenominal . . . . . there is going to be some good stuff and some not as great stuff but all of it is tradable and useable. This is a fun "surprise" type of thing.

aww, sorry to see ppl are sad or disappointed. Maybe the "other" section would help next time.

As for me... I am a happy girl :wiggle:

1) Cruella LE 400 value ~$8.75!
2) pinpic pin with cupid and leprechaun
3) Super girly Alice pin LE 300 Retails orig: $9.95!

Thank you Grim for the awesome pins. It was especially thoughtful of you to think of me and my girly ways. Alice is perfect among the flowers! :)

Well am I glad I didn't buy a BOC this time around . I got in on the 2nd wave of BOC and I asked for it, I think I got it too . It was delivered in a large white paper envelope, no bubble whatsoever . Well, of course, the day it was delivered it rained and was terribly windy . According to my mailman, it must have blown out of the mailbox and onto the porch . By the time I got home and picked it up, there was barely an envelope left .
I had a lovely huge pin traders delight post card that was dripping and beyond repair . Went right into the trash receptable ! But I did get a sweet Stitch drawstring bag and inside was a Star Wars pin from Sci Fi Academy pin event LE 1000 and a small Belle toddler princess pin . My Stitch bag was soaked along with the Star Wars card that the pin was on . I dried out my Stitch bag and put my pin card on the heater vent , it's dry now and wrinkly , but my pin is on it . Even though I do not like Star Wars ( never have) I know the pin is very tradeable for someone that does collect these pins .
My only tip would be is to use a bubble envelope , other wise you really do end up with a Bag Of Crap .
I was tempted to jump in on this 3rd wave, but thought I'd let others have a turn . WoW, am I ever happy that I let others have it this time .

Wow I really think you guys are all missing the point of this . . . it is supposed to be fun, no one ever guaranted you anything other than "crap"

Grim, can not control the weather of your mail mans handling of it. If the pins were inside a nice soft lined bag - they should have been fine for transport.

thats why I said I asked for it and I got it too, caligirl ! It was a joke , lighten up !!!
It doesn't get windy and rain in Cali ?
$15.00 is a lot for some that doesn't have it to waste .
I was at least happy with my pins, I can trade them in the parks or elsewhere .

II. Thou shalt not whine and complain when some people's crap turns out to be nicer than yours.

I really feel that people should just be "smiling and saying thank you." Yes some Crap is better then others, I for one was very happy with mine and was lucky. Sure fantasy pins might not be the ideal and if you aren't happy just let it be and don't complain.

to quote Thumper
If You Don't Have Anything Nice to Say, Don't Say Anything At All.

Thats the point with your own words , a lined bag , it was a paper bag , bubble filler is a nice soft lined bag . Scotch bubblers like I use . Just had to get that in here . I read it and re read it and thought, wow, your agreeing with what I was trying to say .
I said, I was happy with my BOC even though it was wet . I got about $15.00 worth .

Well the good news is that people know that there is a potential to get cool LE pins, some worth WAY MORE than what you paid, but there is also a potential to get Fantasy pins and less expensive pins. Coming into this, everyone had to know they are taking a risk with their money... It wouldn't be fair for Grim to be giving away $50-$100 worth of pins to each participant for $15.

I do remember Grim saying these are Bags Of Crap and that you are taking a chance on what sort of crap you will receive . After seeing that Fantasy pins were passed out this time around, I'm glad I passed the 3rd wave and will continue to do so now .

I can't wait to see who got the AMAZING boc - that I know went out this round!!!!!!!

Pass or play totally everyones choice. $15 is a lot to spend on a chance - but everyone knew going into it that it was a chance. and wind and rain does exist here - but nope we don''t get much of it. I am completely light hearted about this - Tinker, I think other people are taking these too seriously which was my point :0)

And trust me Grim has lost a lot more money than he has made on these . . . just wait ;0)

Seriously, the point is that it works kinda like a raffle, please don't complain. This was a cool and fun thing Grim came up with... I for one have recieved one of my Boc's and I am excited to see what came! I'm currently at WDW for the week but My hubby is joining me on monday or tuesday so he is bringing my mail with him so I can open one of my BoC's <3 <3 <3 Thanks for doing this Grim it is Fun <3

Being sarcastic and mean about things will get you nowhere in life, wise up. and I say this with Love <3

Exactly creative ! I wasn't complaining , just stating a fact on the mailers itself . Of course Brian can't control our weather or the fact that our mail man stinks . I think I mentioned that I found a neighbors IRS check (all $2,000.00 worth)in the middle of the street . It was not raining that day, so hmmmm, wonder what his excuse was with that . I told the neighbor too call the post office & complain .
If I hadn't found it, it would have got run over , blown down the street, soaked in a gutter, a number of things and these people would have still been waiting on their check .
So, No, I am not blaming Grim, was just suggesting is all .
You know going into this that its a mystery to what you might recieve and then again Maybe Not ( lumiere, aa beast growls and his flames blow out ) LOL

(Just a quick note because I'm trying to not get involved with these conversations. I want to all to make your own opinions about BoCs, without my persuasion. I think they're fun and well worth it it, especially when everyone posts what they receive. Sure, there are a lot of crappy shipments out there, but there are some fun ones too. Please remember that [unfortunatey] not everything is posted, which can be disappointing mostly for me. There are a lot of really neat shipments out there.

In regards to fantasy pins: Yes, this sale is made up mostly of fantasy pins. And this is for good reason. There have been many other "untradable" items before. Lanyards, hats, t-shirts, signage, maps, and an old Tomart's guide to pin trading. These were all items done in round #1 and 2. There was never a guarantee for official Disney pin trading pins, and that's kid of the fun of it. You really are not sure what you will be receiving. I will say that a majority of items ARE official pins, and I'm sorry if you did not receive those. It truly is luck of the draw. Ask any one who has watched me do these, and it is completely random. I have everything packaged before I start slapping names on envelopes.

In regards to packaging: I realize the large white envelopes were not ideal, but A) it was the only thing that was available to me for shipping the large contents inside and B) I do not plan on using them again. If I do use them again, I will certainly make them more secure. I obviously cannot protect shipments from acts of god, so don't expect shipments to come in sealed and lined packaging. You are purchasing "crap" after all.

In regards to responses from me: Please don't expect much. I would prefer all questions to be posted in either respective BoC thread, or in the original information thread. I am constantly updating the original thread, so it's always good to go back and give it a read. It is my hope that you will be able to answer each others questions and enjoy BoC sales on your own, which so far you've all been very good at. I am however, always keeping an eye on each thread, and read every post. So even though I'm alone in a car in the middle of Pennsylvania, I'm still here!! [No, I'm not driving while writing this, gosh that would be terrible.] so there is still a lot more to come with this BoC sale, I look forward to more posts of what people have received, and you all enjoy what you got to its full potential! Remember, if you don't like it, maybe somebody else will! Post a thread! Enjoy :) )

LOL. I know the one you are talking about. I cannot wait for it to be posted too.

It is kind of like getting mystery packs, you might get the Le100 or the le2000. Whether you take the risk is up to you.

Thanks so much to everyone who emailed about trading me fantasy pins for new pins from Japan, I am pretty excited and I will make sure to PM everyone back shortly! (and I have reached my fantasy pin quota for now :), maybe I will play this game again in the future though)
