Trade Auction Ettiqutte Questions

OK, I was wondering about a couple of situations that I have noticed in the Trade Auctions sub-forum; as I had time to think this morning and thought I would pose the question to everyone here
1) If you have an auction up and running, do you still try and offer that pin via PinPics via the TA? I had a trade request this morning that I saw as a current trade auction yesterday, and while they could have 2 or more of the pin, it struck me as kind of odd.
2) If you are bidding with specific pins, do you set them aside and do not accept/attempt trades via PinPics until either the auction is over or it is declared you are not the leader? I ask as I sat on some pins (did not attempt trading) as I was in the lead until last night on an auction, and while I gave it my all, I wonder does every one else thought the same way. What happens if you have them in a bid, and you get a trade offer too good to pass up? Do you contact the auctioneer?
3) Should we/Do you allow people to bid with pins not in their possession yet? I have noticed a trend with people bidding with pins that are scheduled to be released, like the PODM Little Mermaid and the DSF Brave Pins. Speaking as someone who "pre-traded" for both the Tangled and Aladdin PODMs and did not get either due to circumstances beyond everyone's control, is bidding with pins not in your possession a good idea? What happens if the person wins and is unable to get the pins?
Just my $.02
