Goofy’s June 30[SUP]th[/SUP] Honor Board Auction...
So what the ____ is an honor board auction??? Well it is my form of a solution to my private auction getting banned… Here, let me explain…
The original purpose of the private auction was to reward those members who have made my auctions here such a success… But I am told that providing a private auction causes an unwelcome environment… But I still need to reward those who I believe deserve a bit extra… As you know, we have always stayed true to choosing a winner based on our wants and not value of offer… This will always remain the same, Our pins = Our Choice of Winner… But we will do things a bit different for the honor board auction… This is how that auction will work…
Every item posted as a bid will be given a point value based on our desire for that item (Example: a hidden mickey may be worth 1 point but my Ray pin will be worth much more points) We will then total the points for each bid offered… This is similar to how we always do it… But here is the Honor Board twist… If you are on the Honor Board it is because you have been a previous winner and your member name will have stars next to them based on the number of prior wins… The first star will give you 25% of bonus points to be added to your bid… Each additional star will get you an extra 10% on top of that… We will award the winning bid to the member who has the largest point total after the honor board bonus has been added in… This Auction will be open to ALL DPF Members, but keep in mind that if you are not on the honor board you may have to put up a stronger offer to win…
Since I did not keep track of every auction we ran in the past, Please post a comment on this thread as to which auction and or guessing contest you have won in the past and I will update the Honor Board as they are verified… This includes any prior Goofy Auction not just this month’s… In your post include the item(s) that you won so there is no confusion…
