As some of you may know, Nancy (Njoysquare) of DPF organized and hosted a pin trading event here in sunny southern California last night.

Nancy, I just wanted to thank you for organizing a great event for all of us. It was a huge success! It was such a treat to not just DPF, but to the entire pin trading community. Cicada managed to take quite a few pictures, which he will publish in the coming days.

Again, many thanks, and we look forward to your next gathering! :wiggle:

(Btw, your event seemed to break my streak of consecutive events without an actual pin want - I scored last night)

Yes Thank you Nancy!!! awesome event! wish i wasnt soo wiped out and tired. I only stayed for a little bit but In that little bit of time I manage to get a grail i have been wanting for over 6+ years! Bricklayer was kind enough to trade me this http://pinpics.com/img/p764/pin38236

I traded that lanyard to Jon last year when he told me that he wanted to go to nursing school and wear this lanyard when he is gong to clical practice. Looks like Jon's dream did not take flight :(, but I am so glad that the lanyard found a happy new owner :)

Did not take flight? Yep, more like a crash and burn! I wore the lanyard a couple times to clinical practice, and picked out other nursing pins for Pharmacology lectures.

Alas, it was not for me. I'm in a much better position now, though. But that's a story for another day.

I'm looking forward to the next event, Nancy! When!?

Dennis and I are so glad that everyone had a good time! We are working on the next one which will hopefully be in September, then everyother month between the DLR PTN's. The number of people we had were about the limit we can have in the restaurant so the next one we will have to have people sign up in advance and hold to that, but it seems that everyone enjoyed it and that was the plan. I hope that next time I will be able to trade too! lol! I was so busy but not as much as I would have been without my father helping us. Thank you to everyone for helping make it a success!

Glad you all had fun at the event! Looking forward to seeing the photos! And Nursek8, I'm glad you finally got that nurse lanyard! I remember seeing it years ago in your posts!

I wore it today when i went to work! I Kept looking at it and smiling! One patient i have been taking care of for a bit noticed my bolo lanyard had changed and commented on it too! I am still floating that I finally have it!!!
