Wristbands for next weeks DLR PoDM pins
. (i cant see the films anyway cause i keep them on black pages) .

Just an FYI...if you put a plain piece of white paper or tin foil behind your pins in your pin book, you can see the cells. Paper is usually fine for the lighter cells, foil better for darker cells:)

Chum:)

OH bOY. First its funny how everyone likes different things. I love alot of the PODM but THIS one i want badly. I love black and white pins? I dont know why. I love how they look all together and i love how this frame was done. (i cant see the films anyway cause i keep them on black pages) I also feel so sad for you DL folks. I'm not saying there are not rude peeps everywhere, but when i go to DTD in fla. There isnt even a line? Infact i was there 5 days after the PODM aladdin release and they still had pins...i got the last one. I hope the wrist band at least helps spread oout the bullies. I feel sorry for the kids, it seems like there was pushing and rudness which is NOT the Disney example. Good luck to everyone, and lets take care of eachother the best we can. Keep trading, keep sharing, keep Zapping.

I am assuming these guidelines are for DL only, because there is no mention of a wristband process under the WDW listing for this pin (at least for now). :)

This is an interested twist, for sure. I can't see how this is going to help to tell you the truth. With how quick these sell out at DL, I'd imagine VERY few people at DL were able to get even 10 by themselves alone. I think the people collecting 20+ are out at WDW where they last longer and are more spread out.

As far as a people getting pushed etc... I hope this process helps, but when they were doing wristbands for Piece of Disney History, there were still plenty of people running / sneaking / pushing to jockey for a space in line when the morning lineup happened (and that was for LE1000 pins - POM pins may be less than that).

Ebay prices I imagine will now go up considerably. Say an ebay seller was able to be quick and snag 6-8 of the pins before they sold out parkwide (DL). They would hopefully keep 1 or 2 for their collection and sell/trade the other 4. Now by being limited to 2 (lets face it, the wristbands will be gone by 6:30 and the second chance line will be scraps) they have 1 to sell/trade (if any if they are a collector). More people can get them locally, but all those from out of state will see less pins up for sale. Less supply means higher prices. It will be better for the local collectors but I fear there will be less on Ebay to keep the prices down.

With school back in session, and some less desired movies on the horizon, Disney could of kept things as is and been ok until BatB. But now they may have created more panic (at DL at least). I hope the wristbands work out, but usually when they goto wristbands, things can get even more complicated than they intended.

It'd be great if you got there at 6 and saw 3 lines set up. You pick which location you want to go to and wait for wristband distribution to start at 7.

What will more likely be the case is that there will be no lines set up and there will be half a dozen unofficial lines that converge on each other when the location of the only line is announced at 7.

I think this will free up some pins for people. At the last release I was standing in line next to a guy whose family had gotten a hotel room just for the release and used their early entry to get about 40 pins between them. Since there are only 3 locations I hope they're able to set up extra registers so the lines don't take forever. Store Command has done so for previous events.

so....

will I or wont I have a chance to get a pin if I dont arrive until 8:30am??????

Hey you. It seems what I said a little while back has now been implemented, and it will be an ongoing thing. But since I seem to NOT be doing much that morning, and since I have my cripple card for parking, I'll get in line for you and get two pins. ONE for you, one for me!

So does anyone know where to park for this? the parking structure wont be open till about 630am and since the line can begin at 6 will DTD parking be open at that time or earlier?

Mickey & Friends is supposed to open at 6:00 am on Thursday because of Magic Hour. This is according to the info I received when signing up for the AP early admission. I read somewhere that DTD parking lot was supposed to open at 5:45--don't know if that is "official" or not.

I also signed up for AP early admission to DCA. This will be my first time with early admission and also a pin release. Do you mind my asking if you know how that will work with the wristband distribution? Do we simply say we'd like the band for Fly 'N Buy and go right in? Thanks for any help!

I was wondering that too. I signed up for the AP early admission and was wondering how it would all work. Also, I will be staying at one of the motels on Harbor. Do they let you walk through to get to DTD? I have never been to a release of the PODM, but this one happens to be just when we are taking a vacation to DL so I thought I would try to get this one. Any advice would be appreciated! Thanks.

We have to get a wristband for early admission. That starts at 6:30.

I just have a question where is it that we are supposed to park? I really want at least one scene.
Mickey & Friends opens at 6:00 am. Not sure when DTD parking opens, but that's another option.
