I have spotted yet another Ariel Shoe pin from NY.

Seller's posting states that they are getting ready to go to WDW and the extra pins they have were obtained during their past trips.

What gives ??

Ditto (but to an even lower rank). I think it is the same seller that sold the Dumbo Car Wash pins months early on a normal black disneypins card and not the one they were released on, and was selling dozens of sets of the HM alphabet pins for $35.

I would not buy these unless they were in an official sealed disneyland/disneyworld pack.
 
I just ebay messaged the seller asking if they could please provide a picture of the packaging and proof these were not bought directly from china before I would be interested in buying. teehee
 
Hmmm ... this is an east coast seller, assuming that the pins are legit - which I really doubt - these pins have a higher chance of coming from WDW actually.

Come in Alexa .... LOL ....
 
I just went to DTD last night and they weren't there!
The only new booster sets available were just the Little Mermaid ones. That's all.
BTW, the set is adorable in person! :)

Curious .... he he he ....

I would not be surprised if he can come up with pictures actually, if they can scrapper the pins what's so difficult about packaging? It is just paper and cellophane wrap after all.
 
I want two of The Little Mermaid sets . One to trade at the event depending upon the price . I'm going to save the other for when Disney brings back The Little Mermaid . I'll get mine at the Disney Store . This way I'll get the lithographs and can make a pin picture .
 
I was there all weekend and we looked at every park and also at dtd and they were not out yet. I also have a friend who works at wdw at the pin store and she said not in there.

Ha ha ... if there is a reply at all. These are seasoned people who do not really care. They would quietly block her as a buyer and not respond. They get plenty of business from unsuspecting bargain hunters after all ;)

The listing specifically says it does not come with the backing card.

Definitely fishy...why would you sell a brand new set without the backer card? And this seller is from North Carolina...how would he be able to obtain these sets, and those that have actually looked for it at the parks have not seen it? This seller has also listed many other suspect pins.

I will be so sad if there are scrappers of these...they are so adorable!


I will also keep my eye out for them when I go to the PODM release tomorrow. :)
 
I got this reply::

Hello, I thought we were given the okay to go ahead and sell this set. As stated in the auction we don't have the packaging that will be used at the parks. We obtain all of our items through the proper channels.

to which I responded back...

"Since these items are scheduled for release onbly in the parks, I don't understand what "proper channels" you mean. Perhaps we should be contacting disney about this?"
