Hi, for the people that don't know me my name is Jimmy. I'm on here a lot late at night (east coast time). I am so upset right now. I don't usually let things bother me but while traveling out to Orlando to go to Mickeys Circus pin event the airlines (jet blue) lost or misplaced the case that was carrying ALL of my hard earned and cherished traders. These were all I had to be able to trade at the event and now I have absolutely nothing to trade with. I had a lot of cool pins in my books to trade too. Some of the pins are non replacable. I worked so hard and so long for these pins and due the lack of care and attention not given to my bag they are now, who knows where. They said that they thought that either the TSA held them for inspection or they got shipped to another city. The manager of baggage said that 99% of the time they find the items and bring it to our hotels. There is still hope that it will turn up. As you can imagine I'm on pins and needles about this. If you can just throw some wishes my way that it shows up I would really appreciate it. I am so deeply sad right now. This is my first major pin event and I will now not be able to do absolutely any trading.

I'm really sorry to hear this I hope they are found. Airports and airport security a majority of the time find misplaced bags. Just be patient and hopefully it turns up found
 
Don't stress out. They have today and tomorrow to find your pins, I'm sure they will.

I so hope that your pins are found and returned to you.
I'm travelling to Disney next year and this sort of thing is my one worry. Airlines can be careless.
Don't lose hope. With some Disney magic your pins will turn up :)
 
Yikes!! At least you got there super early, and they have time to find and deliver your baggage. I really hope it all shows up before the event starts!

Is the bag small enough to be a carry on for the way back?

Hi grimm, yes but i didn't know that in Boston. i thought it was too big and that's why I checked it in. Never ever had problem with my luggage that's why i thought the bag would be safe, oh well live and learn. Thanks so much for your thoughts.

Breathe, Yes very stressfull, but person you talked to was correct, former airline employee and flyer who traveled frequently, the pins will MOST LIKELY be found, baggage frequently gets lost ,rerouted and returned, and a 48 to 72 hr window on airlines is usually all it takes. So with the two days and yesterday, the odds are in your favor!!
 
Jimmy, I hope they find your luggage and deliver it to you. But this is why I never check my pins. I truly hope you find the bag with the pins and that it is delivered to you safe and sound. And on the way home - don't check them.

Keeping my fingers crossed and positive vibes being sent out to you and a safe return of your bag to you in time. I always think that life likes to gives us tests once in a while to see how we can handle it and return everything back to normal state once we pass ;)

Jimmy....i am thinking poitive thoughts. I am picturing your phone ringing in your hotel with the airline saying they found it and are delivering to your room...look for me with my DPF button pin Tanya made and if you didnt get it back yet i can give you some pins to trade or use at the boards...xo pixy dust and positive thoughts.
btw i have bags lost and gotten them back within 24 hrs. Please tell me you had a full ID tag on it..please please please:hsd:
 
*bighugs* They will find your pins, I KNOW they will! Until then, enjoy your trip.

BTW for a good laugh (which I think you might need), the first time I went to DLR, I flew with my traders as my carry on. The look on the guy as it went through the machine at the TSA checkpoint was priceless. You'd've thought I had plutonium in my bag. He practically screamed fora manager who was like "Uh yeah dude, they're pins". The guys turned beet red because he had practically been shaking. LOL.
 
Lots of pixie dust for swift return of your pin bag. I hope that the airlines will assign their best people to find it.
 
Were your pins in a bag with clothing, or, were they in a bag alone? Either way I NEVER check my pins in through the baggage check, too tempting a target for greedy hands.

I really hope that they find your bag and get it returned to you today or tomorrow!!! It is a good thing that u are there early and so they have some time to find it before the event starts. Please keep us updated!
