No, perhaps I explained it incorrectly.... Bids may be added to at any time if you feel you may be outbid, but that is up to you, if you are in the current lead on a leader board and decide to do an increase, then you are just increasing your chances of winning as well as potentially giving the co-op a better fighting chance if that is the option you are bidding on...

If you are on the leaderboard and you wish to strengthen your position there, you may do so and it will strengthen your position there, but it will not make the bid "open" to the auctioneers. The entire bid (including the addition) remains on the current leaderboard until it is knocked out.

Also.... Since this auction will be a little more hectic for the goon and myself, I ask that if you are adding to a bid, that you please make the entire bid in a new post (with both old pins and new pins) so that we have less to keep track of. Thanks!

Shouldn't only the first place position locked in to the person that claimed it? For example, say two good bids came in and Grim claimed them both - only one can win. But what if the second place bid would have been Goofy's top choice? Shouldn't the other auctioneer be able to steal a bid away if it is not safely in the lead spot? And there shouldn't be a ton of stealing, because if you aren't going to put it in the lead then there really isn't a point.
 
im gonna be honest. I kinda wish they just did separate auctions LOL. it makes things much simpler and less complicated. let the Goon King auction his first..get the most value for his pins in his 1st auction and then Grim can auction his off later. :: sigh :: the simple life! haha

Their goal is to make this the biggest auction EVER! so that is why its complicated lol. But I understand what your saying.

There's only a first place position for each pin (and one for the entire enchilada if so one chooses) so there will be no 2nd or 3rd slots at all. At least those are the only ones we're allowed to have locked in. We might have to have a separate leaderboard each letting folks know that they are close... So thanks for bringing that up.
 
I can't wait for this to start. I'm confused too but I figure I'll bid the best things I can and see what happens. Sadly I have no PODMs and nothing on Grim's want list! But I'm gonna try anyway! :)
 
With todays UPS delivery... I am happy to announce that my half of this auction is ready to go...and I believe Grim's is as well, but waiting for confirmation before it will begin... The set is in hand and ready to go to their new home... See here they are...

One thing to note, before people get too far into this: in the past, I have served as a third party for high end pin trades/sales for some of you. While I'm able to maintain my presence on the boards here and I'm always happy to help out in any way I can, I am not at my home and I do NOT have a reliable snail-mailing address. As such, I will not be able to act as a third party for this - or any other trades/sales - until I return back home to SoCal (that probably will be sometime in November). If you want a neutral third party trade for this trade, I would advise you to ask Bricklayer (as Grim is an auctioneer in this and will be sending a set of pins himself).
