BATB PODM // What's your biggest worry? How much would you spend on your grail scene?

Out of curiosity to those who collect PODMs, what do you think is the most expensive PODM nowadays (that isn't Tangled since that easily is the highest).

I think Tangle is probably the highest. As for why Little Mermaid isn't the highest, that's because the scene that they chose weren't exactly the most epic scenes... I'm not complaining ofc since I do love the scene I got but it's like out of the entire movie they could have chose so many other scene in the movie such as "Kiss The Girl".

The highest is probably Tangled with them all holding her hair that's around $400~500
Second would be the Lion King with Simba holding down Zazu scene around $300~400
Mulan with her father and the scene from "i'll make a man out of you" $200~400 (going down)
Lion King with Rafiki holding up Simba (close up) and Lion King with Simba Timon and Pumba around $200~300
Any good Snow White scenes around $150~300 (really depends on the scene and the dwarf)
Then comes 101 Dalmation with a scene of all the puppies and dogs from the front and/or the back $100~200

I feel like I should have seen that one coming lol xP I'm shocked they didn't choose to make ones of some of the most popular movies. (Sleeping Beauty, Lilo and Stitch, Hercules, Tarzan, etc.)

I will be getting a total of four Beauty and The Beast PODM's. Two will be auctioned off here the same day to our DPF members. I am zapping one to a fellow DPF member if it is a scene with Belle and her father Maurice. Finally, I am hoping to keep one PODM.

Depending on the scene, I am willing to go to a hundred bucks for it. I would much rather spend 50 bucks for a scene with the back of Belles head XD

I would be willing to spend 50 bucks on the library. However, I would spend $30 bucks for a BATB PODM with just the scenery of some kind it in. I'm not really that picky considering I have a feeling this PODM will be one of the more expensive ones.

The only pin from my keepers I could trade to get the BatB PODM is my Little Mermaid PODM pin and I won't trade that. My love for the Little Mermaid trumps everything else.

Probably not. Little Mermaid trumps BatB (so will get killed for that opinion in this thread XD)

I would get the BatB PODM pin if it was between that and one of my grail pins. If it was 3 grail pins vs my grail BatB PODM, the 3 grail pins would win out, unless I could buy them cheaper than the BatB PODM.

Well, if we're lucky, 4 in the wristband line. :anxious: I don't think there will be any standby line after 1 p.m. I've already pre-bought 2 (well, haven't paid for them yet) as I'm not sure if it will still be happening. I want to try to get 8-12 total so my sister can pick which ones she wants to keep, although she may want them all (I have 8 Mulan PODMs and still want a few more scenes!)

FYI, the pin retails for $24.95. With tax, that comes out to approximately $27. $3 for shipping. So, that would be some really kind generous soul (of which there are plenty) standing in line for hours and making no $ whatsoever?

Biggest worry = none. I'll wait and freeze in the morning darkness but if it doesn't happen, it's not the end of the world. I'll get one on ebay months later after the furvor dies down. And it will.

Funny, I thought Lion King was an extremely popular film and those PODMs aren't doing so hot. Is it because there's no human characters?

I won't spend more than retail as I will get 4 and I should be able to find a scene I like or trade for a scene I like. You didn't have a retail option, you started at $35 so I chose that one. I bought one for $40 for presale and will get at least 4 day of. So 5 to chose from. I think I'll manage with that. Hopefully get a good scene I can trade for a Snow White. The only princess PODM I still need. Would possibly trade for a Cinderell with Cinderella in the frame. I only have 2 Cindy's with the Fairy Godmother in it.

Mmmm I would assume that "bad" scenes for PODM that doesn't include any character usually are around $27~$32 or something. I doubt that the BatB PODMs will have no characters since they've been pretty good with having at least a character in them unlike peter pan or Cinderella...

Yea.. the Little Mermaid scenes dropped a lot. The only one I've seen that rose in price even now are older PODM scenens and the really HTF Tangled scenes.

Lion King is popular but not as popular as Disney Princess movies. Plus, I don't think there were any amazing cell scenes for Lion King. I would love one of Simba older or in the PODM release picture. Just because a movie is good doesn't mean that they selected a good scene from the movie to put in the PODMs. The reason why some Tangled PODM can sell for $400~500 is because that scene itself is very good.

Right now Lonesome Ghost PODM the highest seems to be with the ghosts and they're not humans.

I guess I was thinking more of the fact that if you couldn't get your grail scene from the park and you had to rely on purchasing it from someone... but that is a good point you brought up Good luck with getting good scenes from the BatB release! If you get an amazing scene, I might be able to trade my Snow White PODM for it XDD

I do collect Horses of disney, so IF they have a phillipe frame, I would be interested. But seeing how Maximus frames are in high demand, and the Mulan frames with Khan are rather rare.... I figure getting a phillipe frame will be as impossible as them for someone like me, who lives on a tight budget.

Driving to DLR in the middle of the night, just to line up to get wristbands is impossible with 2 small children. You folks enjoy this PODM release without me or my cookies.

Sis doesn't have a picture of her scenes (Mulan) but here is what it is (she showed them all to me):
1. Mulan & Father at the Mulan tree (Mulan is sitting on the bench, Father is walking towards her);
2. Mulan sitting under the Mulan tree (close-up of her face);
3. Mulan and Father with the soldier on the horse (conscription scene);
4. Mulan with Mushu, where she's picking him up and saying "my ancestors sent a lizard to protect me?";
5. Mulan, Ping, Ling, and Chien Po in their qi, looking "wow" (when Shang is bare chested and uses his pole to break the two clay pots);
6. Mulan, Ling, and Ping in their chi (the kicking scene);
7. Mulan with her shoe off and Shan Yu in the foreground (right before she says "No, I did") - in response to Shan Yu saying "you took away my victory"
8. Mulan with Shan Yu's sword on top of the Emperor's Palace;

As you can see, I listed them in order of the movie.

What she's looking for.

1. Mulan with make-up and grandmother (the scene is "Honor to Us All");
2. Mulan with make-up and fan (at matchmaker)
3. Mulan with her make-up with Khan;
4. Mulan singing reflection, probably by the statue;
5. Mulan's reflection with the Chinese characters (inside the temple);
6. Mulan's reflection with the sword;
7. Mulan with Khan crouching behind the rock (when Mushu shows up as the great and powerful dragon);
8. Mulan with fireworks (possibly; she's not sure yet).

OMG, that's 7-8 more scenes she wants. I don't know how we're going to afford it!

P.S. She only kept two Tangled PODMs, even though she wanted to keep more.

Aw... so you haven't had any podms that showcase a horse in it? I'm surprised since I know you like to collect horses Hopefully there have one with Phillipe and you can get your hands on one

:O You are right! I guess scenes that are considered "bad" will have to be higher. But yes. It seems that they've been very good with selecting scenes since year 1 so hopefully there will be good scenes for each

For the Mulan scenes above, I traded for (months in advance just as soon as the release was announced). Some bought on ebay. And, I just saw that the sword scene (#6) only sold for $46 postage paid this morning. UGH. I totally forgot about it (had bid on it) but was driving to work when it ended. UGH!

my biggest worry is that i will faint bc i will be on the pin diet(red bulls, no sleep, high levels of anxiety).POM are sexy and worth waiting in line for.they are masterpieces.
