I have to be honest here. I generally avoid trading/buying from those from England because I think it will cost a good bit to ship just 1 pin.

I know I am being a little over cautious but I want to start buying/trading across the pond!

I am shipping from PA and I have used the calculators but they are different everytime so I will ask the shipping experts here!

Thanks guys and gals!

I try to send multiple pins when I ship over seas these days. Weather thats for a multi pin trade, or for one current trade and a future trade. $6.00 is about average. But if your are sending really expensive pins, like say a grail PODM worth hundreds, you need to pay more ANd get insurance. i have yet to need to do that.

Shipping to the US is £4 which is around $8 dollars but I dont know if the us prices the same. I have to trade to the us or I would never get any pins xD Good luck trading if you decide to do it :)

Do they offer some sort of DC service?

Just fill out a customs form and send with first class mail. It's kinda like sending with D/C. The P.O. should have a stack of customs forms at the front when you walk in. Just fill it out there, or you can take some home so you don't have to fill it out at P.O. It ususally is around $6
on average to send a small package overseas. I haven't had any issues sending overseas, yet :)

Hope that helps!

If you want actual tracking, that's available through express mail only.

Unfortunately, with getting a tracking number and that only being available through express mail, if you fit the items in the Express Mail package they offer, then it is $38 international. $45 with your own package.
I might be wrong though. I did send a package to the Netherlands recently through Express mail and they said $38

You can get a D/C with Priority Mail International. You can send in a Priority Flat Rate Envelope for about $17.00. You can not get a D/C with First Class International....only priority and express.

First-Class International costs the cheapest. Usually around $5~9. The downside is that there is no tracking with this and you cannot add a DC# to First-Class International.

Priority International (Flat-rate small envelope/flate-rate small box) costs $16.95 however according to usps.com

Tracking is not available for the Priority Mail International Small Flat Rate Box, but is an available added service for Priority Mail International Medium or Large Flat Rate Boxes.

but medium boxes cost $47.95. However, you can add Registered Mail (a mailing receipt is issued by the office of mailing and a record of delivery is maintained at the office of destination) but it's an extra $11.75.

I've sent pins to overseas before using Priority International small flate-rate box and it's always given me a DC# (through ebay) but sometimes they don't track it all the way Internationally so in the status you'll see that it's being shipped off but it doesn't update even when the person received it. You can try purchasing your shipping through https://www.paypal.com/us/cgi-bin/webscr?cmd=_ship-now& and see if they give your a DC# with Priority International though you should probably use that link for all your shipping to save $$ on DC# since they include it for free(domestic). This also lets you just drop it off at the post office instead of standing in line! Yay!

Express International offers detailed tracking however that costs $74.95.

I've personally sent with First-Class International with no problems at all. But if you don't feel very safe and it's a lot of pins or an expensive pin, then you should go with Priority
