I've been reading the posts about the SS match ups and I (fortunately) got someone who is quite a veteran. From her posts it looks like she is going all out for her partner. So I would love to let her know i'm going to do the same for her. Is it appropriate to contact her? I would love to put her mind at ease. Any feedback would be deeply appreciated.
 
I guess you can,but then its NOT secret..maybe someone can be a third person and do it without YOU being revealed
and thats very nice of you BTW!!I am sorta doing that as well
 
Thanks tiggermickey, it's just that she is really going out of her way to make her presents special and I really want her to know that hers will be as special, that's all and I think that 3rd party thing isn't a bad idea.
 
If you feel OK I can PM them,and tell them that "their SS"is going out of their way to send you something and saw you were doing so for yours(theirs)..and mention how much they appreciate that

hmmm weird. I dont think your SS is sitting worrying that they are not going to have a nice present?? It sounds like this person enjoys giving and has the time energy and funds to go all out and i am sure they are not expecting the same magnitude in return....i bet they like giving. I wouldnt contac them in anyway, just send your gift and let them be surprised and blown away. :p Oh unless you have me, then i want to know what im getting and plenty of it! :drool:
 
At least you know what your secret santa likes, and can spoil them, mine has no post, no pinpics and join 2days after secret santa was announced, Hmmm
 
I can't speak for anyone else, but for me the SS is not about what I am getting. I want to do something nice that will make someone's holiday a little special. Even if I wasn't getting anything, I would still put the same amount of effort into my gift. I wouldn't contact them and let them be surprised. I know this isn't Disney...but one of my favorite Christmas songs. :) "Christmas means the spirit of giving..."

Surprisingly I personally would like to be told ya know to be able to answer any questions they might have.....
 
I would keep it a secret who Ive got and what im giving! I like things to be a suprise! Its not about what you get after all its about the hoilday sprit and making someone happy!!

I got a lump of coal for xmas one year, the really pretty slightly expensive Crystlized type! It really is beautifull when the light hits it just right! ;-)
