A Pin Trade I Observed
gotta agree with nathan here... not our business if we were not there. Even if we were there....

I was not there, so if both traders are happy, it is none of my business. If the trader loosing the rapunzel's was unaware of what they had, and the other trader PURPOSELY talked down on them, thats just mean evil and rude. But again, Not there. not for me to judge.

yes its not my biz what ppl do with there pins.. But i for one would love to know is there are sharks in the water. i also think if both ppl are happy than thats ok. but in this case we dont know. so its ok for ppl to talk and know that this stuff happend.

to try and say well i got a 200 pin for a 9 buck pin is kind not a good example cuz if i had to guess you got the pin cuz u said u got engaged. the lady was being nice to u, real nice as it may b. but it was not cuz she wanted your rack pin. just what i think.. not tring to upset any one.

Sharks are bad. In this case, I'd say Trader A is also partly at fault for having THAT good of pins and being THAT ignorant of pin values. How does that even happen?
Maybe I'm assuming things, but aren't there still diehards out there who acquire their pins exclusively through trading, and avoid eBay like the plague? Even if they are long-time collectors, they would have no idea of auction values without frequenting the site.

what im curious about is why didnt you say anything if it was so mind boggling that you posted a thread about it and even remembered everything that was involved in the trade. Thats like witnessing a crime and then going home and posting it on Facebook.

As long as both parties are happy with the trade, then that is all that matters. Yes, there are lop sides trades from time to time (I've made many, some in my favor and some in the others favor) but what is the point of putting something up like that on a forum for us to "discuss"? It's just asking for an argument. You or other forum members may or may not agree with the trade but as we were not part of the trade, our comments mean zilch.

And you and I even talked to Trader A on Saturday and he said the person knew what she was trading and she was happy with the trade

Yep! Very true! He even insisted that they take 5 pins in the trade because originally she was only going to take 3. Which 3 I do not know.
