I hope the Ariel doll is nicer than the Cinderella doll. I was very disappointed in her dress since it was in no way a ball gown. The quality of the merchandise just keeps going downhill. I was hoping that they might release a 17" doll for OZ the Great and Power of the witches and the wizard but all we got was the China doll. And she is kinda creepy. I just hope she doesn't come to life at night and eat my cats:) As to Aurora in anything but pink, I don't see that ever happening. Cinderella was always the princess in blue and Aurora got stuck with the pink (inspite of all efforts by Merryweather). I guess they want each princess to be identified with a specific color.
 
i'm gonna be up anyway, so I'll probably check but I'm thinking if it's for wreck it ralph, it wouldn't be released til Tuesday? and if there's a surprise for oz instead of that, it wouldn't be til friday?
 
I don't really feel like there is anything to look forward to as a release tomorrow (or even Tuesday for that matter) but I just know that the one time I let down my guard and don't double check, that's when there will be a release of a doll that I want. Can't take that risk. ;)
 
Well based on the history of these dolls selling, in most cases they will be up for at least 8 hours due to most people being asleep and checking the site first thing in the morning and buying it then. But in most cases the last few LE dolls were on sale for a while. Cinderella was up for at least 3 months on preorder before she sold out, the Villains most are still up with the others not selling out for about a month. The fastest of the recent dolls to be released to sell out was the Lady Tremaine LE of 1500. That sold out within the day but that would be because of the limited edition size and the fact that it was a surprise release.

so to be honest if you did end up not checking it at midnight there just check it first thing in the morning and you should still be able to land a doll. But I know how you feel, better to be safe than sorry. I'm just glad that I am in Australia where due to the time difference it is usually around the 5-6pm time mark which is perfect because it is after work.

I'm not sure why the Sgt. Calhoun is back now, two months after it initially sold out in the US (on Dec 28, 2012, according to posts here), and four months after its initial release (on Nov 2, 2012). A similar pattern seems to be happening for a lot of the limited edition merchandise, such as the Designer Villain dolls, and just recently, the Oz LE250 Pin Set. Maybe they are holding back some of the stock, in case shipments have to be replaced due to damaged or defective items, or maybe returns, or unsold items from stores. But it is certainly curious that Calhoun is back after such a long absence from the website.
 
Nothing new on the US Disney Store tonight, as far as LE items are concerned. A few "customizable" items for Oz, such as mugs and hoodies, but nothing interesting as far new non-LE items either for Oz or Wreck-It-Ralph. Many of the WIR items are on sale, such as the Talking Vanellope and Taffyta dolls for 30% off.
 
So...(and this is directed especially to ImNotBad)...apparently there is going to be a huge "Who Framed Rodger Rabbit?" anniversary reunion on April 4th. That's one month from now. Do you think there's a possibility of a Jessica Rabbit LE doll coming out then? I mean, to this day, she is still a wildly popular DIVA. At the least, her popularity has been able to hold strong or at least break even every year, if not continue to rise now and then. If ever there was a time to release a Jessica Rabbit doll, this would be the time. Disney *bought back* the rights to the licensing and merchandising, they are making a huge "to-do" about a reunion special, and it just makes sense to me. I really only collect villains...but...I WOULD SO BUY HER IN A HEARTBEAT! I even have her song on my iPod and sing along to it. And...God Help Me, if I ever have my headphones in and am out and about...I've been called on walking like her. *blushes in embarrassment...but doesn't care cause none of us know each other here* ;)
I so totally hope that they make an LE of her! :D

There are a few new Jessica things coming out that kind of surprise me. The Britto statue, and the Jessica cookie jar. HOW can they pass up a 17" Jessica - but then again they passed up Tinker Bell which really surprised me. I also just posted that it looks like a 2013 Designer collection is pretty much confirmed but still a mystery as to what to expect. Either or I will take!

I was soooooo sure this was going to be a surprise release!! Ugh! It would have been the perfect doll to do! I was so disappointed when I went to the store to get my movie. I was even more disappointed when I didn't even get lithographs with the movie (I knew I wasn't but they would have made not getting a new doll a little more bearable!) :)

I still can't believe nothing…..maybe friday there will be a surprise release with Oz being released. Not holding my breath though!
 
With all this anticipation, whatever the next LE doll is, it better be good! Disney is driving me crazy with all this waiting and speculation.

I'm sure LE Merida was released on a Friday in June :) I really hope we do get a doll from 'Oz' though, but you never know Disney Store, I mean they have missed out on a lot of potential characters recently :(

Ohhh yes I believe you are right! I totally had forgotten about that!

I personally do not want an Oz doll, but I would rather them make something than nothing! Us poor fans are just starving for dollies at this point!

I think it all depends on the reason for the doll release, I believe the Disney store updates their website on a weekly basis on Monday nights, so most of the preorder merchandise is usually released at the same time. This is also the same case with the surprise releases as they are usually released wage same time as the bluray release date. But it can vary depending on the reason for the doll release, if it is in line with the movie release then it will obviously come out then. But in the past most have either been preorders, part of the website update or released along with the bluray release. That is why in the past it seems that most were released around the Monday/Tuesday time frame.

i could be wrong so don't quote me on that but that is what I have noticed in the past.
