so with not a whole lot of boxes in the park is everyone going to DTD for the pins?
if so when are you lining up? i really want them pins..

I don't see what the point of lining up is. They are not distributing wristbands. Anyone could just go into the park at opening, buy their boxes at any store selling the pins, and then leave. Lining up all night when there is no official line up rules means that security won't be there monitoring the line, so it's not like there is an actual starting point for people to line up :dunno: And where would you plan to line up to begin with?

The craze for these carousel pins is just ridiculous. They will be back on the shelves later throughout the year.

Okay, there's my 2 cents :)

The first reply says it the most clearly...

where the heck would be the starting point for a line up to get into the parks for pin pick up? I mean yeah, sure, DTD you could prolly hide a group behind rainforest cafe and wait all night for it. But whats the point?

With no limit on the amount purchased, and the fact that they will be re-released in waves in the next few months like the pixar mystery boxes... why bother?

I really hope its a joke about lining up. These aren't limited edition. Disney has already been selling them in the parks a couple times and through mail order. Its a shared release at both Disneyland and Disney World. Once these sell out you can bet that Disney will place an immediate reorder for a bigger quantity.

I totally agree with this. With no wristbands for this release where is the line?? Where can people line up this time around..? This is much different than PoDM releases.

Ugh I just want Ariel and Belle the most... I hope a couple of boxes will be around tomorrow morning at 11:30 when I get to DTD :( :/ Has it been confirmed what the exact limit of boxes per person/purchase is for this....? And is there seriously a line over there....? ::flinches in anticipation of a devastating answer::

Yeah I heard they were already released at the little green command store and that someone seen them on Tuesday. It sucks because I looked everywhere for those pins and that's the only store I didn't check. Now I ordered three boxes on the phone and have to wait ugh. I'm hoping there will be some left next Tuesday when I go. Good luck Mali on getting Ariel and Belle those are the top two I want.

There is NO NEED to camp out for these pins for the following reasons:

1. They are LIMITED RELEASE, not LIMITED EDITION. This means that Disney can re-order them (with a larger shipment) as soon as they sell out - and they'll probably do that. These pins probably will go the way of the Animation Art pins or the Family Portrait R/C - sell out, come back a month later, rinse and repeat.

2. Since you aren't waiting for a wristband and this isn't anything Disney is planning for, remember that you're going to be camping out on Disney property - so if Disney doesn't want you there, technically you are trespassing. Not to mention that camping out without security just is dangerous.

3. Remember that everything you do reflects on the pin community as a whole. Disney already has problems with pin traders and our camp outs. Do we really need to give Disney more reason to complain by turning pin releases that do NOT need to be camp outs into camp outs?

Yes, I want these pins as much as anyone (especially Rapunzel). Will I be camping out? No, of course not. I will get to DLR tomorrow when I can make it. If they're sold out when I get there, I'll get the pin(s) ... eventually ... because that's what LIMITED RELEASE means.

There is the normal limit of pins you can buy for this release. Isn't it around 25 boxes? I do know if you order over the phone the limit is 5.
There is no line according to one of the other posts.

I was told by a cast member at Pin Traders in DTD it would be two boxes. But at the emporium they said up to 25. I hope when the release hits later this morning everyone is on the same page. Especially if they are already being sold at Little Green Men.

It typically is 25 boxes yes. But CMs are starting to realize some traders are buying the allotted 25 boxes at a time, causing them to sell out very quickly and only a handful of people getting the pins (i.e. the Pixar boxes). There has been discussion/rumors that this release they are going to limit the amount of boxes one can buy and the numbers as to how many is varying (both via pin trader word of mouth and CMs too). I just hope it's either 5 boxes per person, 1 brick per person, or even 2 boxes per person would guarantee a larger amount of people getting these pins, even though we may not be able to complete this set by tomorrow afternoon.

Well anywhoo good luck to all who are trying tomorrow for these pins! I hope I can get my Ariel and Belle :anxious: (the rest would be bonus at this point! XD)

Well that's good for me in DTD I suppose bc I'm limited to DTD only (no AP :() and I have no option but to arrive there around 11:30am.....But holy cow that sucks bc that's a huge discrepancy! I wish CMs/Disney could be on the same page across the board

DTD opens at 8 am on thursdays for the pin releases. At least they used to. since disney changes things almost daily, I cannot say for sure, but I would still bet on 8 am
