Hey All...

With the summer coming quickly and our So. Cal weather turning beautiful everyday... I was thinking of hosting a series of monthly pin events...

I am thinking about one event a month during the months of June - September...

This thread is just basically to see if any locals would be interested in getting together for some fun games and some excellent pin trading...!!!!

Some of the ideas that I have in mind are...

Beach Party - An afternoon of fun in the sun followed by a fire in the evening to roast marshmallows...

Minature Golf Tournament - Fun for all in a location where there will be tons to do...

Laser Tag Event - If you never have, this is a must for the whole family!!! amazing fun with laser lights, fog and music... All can participate...

4th of July pins and fireworks Spectacular - T.B.A. if possible... LOL

Dunk a Pin Trader - Yup I would like to rent a dunk tank to stick our friends/non-friends into it with a chance for us to dunk them... LOL... This will be pin related and cost pins to throw... LOL... voluteer to be dunked gets the pins...

There are also a few others that are still in planning... LOL...


So if you would be interested in joining us for a small series of pin gatherings with a ton of fun built in, please post your thoughts and how many people may be in your group...

I would also like to hear of your thoughts of possible fun ideas we can do together to enjoy this amazing hobby of ours...

Also please post which events sound like the most fun... I may create a poll if enough people are interested in participating in the events...

Ooh, this sounds like fun and with the AP pass expiring at the beginning of summer, this will be fantastic! :)

Maybe I will volunteer to get dunked. LOL.

LOL ... Our passes expire soon too... Ugh... to renew or not with the new prices...

Oh and the part I left out about the dunk tank as it sounds nice to hop in water to get free pins... lol... voluteers will put up a prize pin that the thrower who dunks them gets to keep... Bwahahaha... They also get to decide on what pins are worth how many throws and who goes in what throwing order... A little confusing but I have it planned out where it should be more exciting than free pins if you get wet... Bwahahahaha...
 
ohh im jealous already and the summer fun hasn't even begun!!! you guys are going to have a blast! totally have a sand castle contest. ill be watching this thread like a hawk so i can pretend im there!
 
I am interested in this in July/August depending on dates! ^_^ Sounds like tons of fun, Moe! I am probably not gonna make a PTN in the Summer so this would be a great alternative! You are always organizing such weird and wonderful things for the community! :lol: :)
 
Oooo I love the mini golf and Beach ideas! I need to work on my tan again so I'm totally down for the beach! LOL
 
Love laser tag & mini golf. Maybe we can find a group rate somewhere in the middle of everyone? I know Castle Park and Scandia in the IE have mini golf, but there has to be places in OC too.

Re: renewing. We decided not to renew this year. We've had APs for the past 5 years straight so we are going to sit out at least one year and get bi-monthly massages instead! And, if you can believe it, it will be CHEAPER (did all the calculations!)

Beach party sounds nice! A bit weird to see the pin traders in swim suits though. :werd: :squint: :crazy: :dunno: Can I be all Deanna Troi in a ST: TNG episode where (in reference to Captain Picard) she says "He's blinding me!" LOL
 
How about a pin scavenger hunt inside the parks before the summer crowds get too crazy. You have a list of pins to find throughout the park based on clues that have to be solved. I know Amy had a similar idea and I see other sites doing scavenger races all the time. It would be cool to incorporate the hotels and Downtown as well as both parks. Really test people's Disney knowledge!

Problem is park admission. Some people's APs are expiring, some passes are only good weekdays, some are good Sundays...
 
Count us in too.

BTW - there is a Fun Laser Tag place in Alhambra. but that may be to far North for a bunch of people.

Ya.... We have this all planned!! Didnt get enough peeps to play. Would love to still make it happen, though!!!!!!!!!
