So I sent an email as I've been waiting FOREVER for them to post PTN info and this was the response I got:

We have not had a Pin Trading Night scheduled rescently. At this time there is no plan for a scheduled Pin Trading Night. However will be having our annual Pin Trading Event in September. 13 Reflections of Evil Trading Event September 13 - September 15 at Epcot®. Until further notice we will not be having any Pin Trading Nights in the near future. We apologize for any disappointment this may cause.

So awesome right?!?!?!? And yet they complain when we take over Port Orleans to trade. So ridiculous!

FYI if you are mad about this too email them on the merchandise pin website and LET THEM KNOW. ESPECIALLY if you stay on property as this is EXTRA revenue!!!!!! Below is how to contact. Let them know how disappointing it is that DLR has ahd 2 PTNs and an Event and we've had nothing. I find it hard to believe that 5 convention resorts with roughly 100 convention rooms total haven't had 1 opening they could use in 5 months.

I already sent them an email asking about the PTN pins. My guess is that they will sell them at the early check in day at WDW for Villains.
 
While I don't live local anymore, I'm surprised at this and hope that it gets resolved. Who knows they may hold it at another place...
 
What they will probably do, like they did last year, is hold a PTN on the Thursday night before the Pin Event and that's when they will release those PTN pins that have already been previewed. If that's the case, there will probably be madness that day with people picking up merchandise and then getting in the line to buy the PTN pins.
 
There was an article this weekend saying Disney is slashing jobs - specifically in the Merchandising category to "save costs." Very disappointing - are they looking to get out of the pins? Maybe too much stuff coming from China and no real QC or enforcement? Maybe the legal dept is getting swamped from the scrappers and fakes? Man - I just STARTED in this hobby!!!

No - the majority of the jobs are in the vidoe gaming and consumer merchandising section. Sherri was the one I was on the phone with a week or so ago explaining about the fake pins to me. Hopefully she isn't the only person there watching over consumer merch!
