Let's not forget that a user asked DS directly and they answered hinting that we haven't heard the last of OZ limited dolls. Wheter with limited they meant the Film collection (12" dolls of $35) or actually a 17" one.

edit: I also agree with you! I'm really looking forward for summer & winter releases. Hopefully we will get 3 Little Mermaid dolls in summer, a regular Ariel, a variant one, and Ursula/Vanessa. And for winter Anna and Snow Queen :D !

Maleficent is sold out, but the set of all six designer villain dolls are now available for 297.00!
 
I saw that someone posted to here and got all excited lol I can't believe there is still NO news approaching summer of any dolls. Maybe we have to wait to D23.
 
^That would have been cute lol. I really can't believe nothing has been leaked yet. We're half way through April! Better start saving up now because we might have a replay of last fall when a ton of dolls were released at once.
 
It's just really odd to me. Merida+Mother will probably end up becoming clearanced or just sent to stores so maybe people will buy them if they can see them. Solo Merida just randomly popped back up and doesn't seem to be going anywhere. And then, there's the 4 remaining villainesses that just sort of seem like they are also collecting dust instead of being collected. (Which, honestly shocks me still. With the exception of her in-box posing, I thought that Mother Gothel was going to be sold out so fast because of how people talked about her. The Queen of Hearts and Ursula being online still doesn't shock me. They are gorgeous, but I read too many complaints about them being slimmed down. I agree, I'd have preferred them to be big and beautiful since it would be a better "message" and all...but still...they look awesome!)
I just feel like it will be quite a while before any new dolls get released. We can all attest to how having one of each takes up a TON of space. Could you imagine a couple hundred...or thousand of each in one place? If anything, I bet they have the Ariel *and hopefully Ursula* Doll(s) already made and nicely stored away until their release, but I doubt they'd have any other dolls currently produced and just sitting there in wait. There have been numerous opportunities and rhymes and reasons for releases, yet none have been taken. So, that cryptic Disney Store message of "plenty" of dolls being released really got so read in to huh? Plenty now means about 2-4...and includes re-releases. ;)

I know I've said it over and over and will still say it over and over again in the future...but...I just so want them to release Evil Queen and Maleficent 17" dolls already! Gah!

I think it's way too early to be saying that, I mean we aren't even half way through the year yet. We should be getting Ariel, a possible Vanessa/Ursula, Anna and Elsa (Frozen), as well as a rumored 3rd Designer Collection, all within this year :hsd:
 
I've been told by a Disney Store CM that the in store pre-order date for the Diamond Edition TLM and LE Ariel Doll will be July 15, for the release on Oct 1. She didn't have any further details about the LE doll.

You're welcome. Funny thing is, they don't yet have a date for pre-orders of the Oz Blu-ray/DVD, when the rumored release is June 11, and Amazon is already taking pre-orders.

Yes, I'm excited, too. This is actually even earlier than the Cinderella pre-order last year, which was on July 30 for the Oct 3, 2012 release.

I'm sure they will, but they won't have any pre-orders. They will have a pre-determined number of dolls reserved for Europe, to be sold on the release date of Oct 1, 2013.

Amendment: I've just read that the Diamond Edition TLM release date of Oct 1, 2013 is only for the US. Europe's release date is supposedly in Spring 2014. So it's not a sure thing that they will release the LE Ariel to Europe on Oct 1. We will have to wait for further information from Disney. Perhaps someone can start bugging the UK DS on when they will get the LE Ariel.

So excited! Now I just need to find someone to go to the disney store and Pre order for me, as the store opens an hour after I start work! :D


I wonder how quickly she will sell out. Any ideas? I was surprised how long Cinderella was up for.

I will admit that I'm very grateful to live in Australia in this instance - I can pre-order from the .com website. Though, I wonder when the Blu Ray is coming out here. I mean, we still haven't got Peter Pan, yet we got Aladdin and you guys didn't.... I'm sooo confused!! I really believe that Disney will release more than 1 Ariel doll - it seems to be the theme lately (2x Merida, 2x Rapunzel), and Ariel has both a mermaid form AND a pretty, puffy, princess dress. Oh the possibilities!! At least we have some sort of information, but it's soooo far away haha. Can't there be a doll now?!?!?!?! I agree with Mali - I wonder how long she'll take to sell out. She was obviously the most loved Designer, so I wonder how fast she'll go. I guess it depends on how well they stay true to her glory. Cinderella was pretty, no doubt, but she is just no Snow White in all her glory. I wonder whether Ariel will be gorgeous, or just pretty? Either way, gotta get her. She's my fav!!!! :D
