PODM, value going up, down, or leveling out???

i think PODM's are on a low right now.. still popular but not the traders they once were. cos theres nothing new. HOWEVER IF they come back next year.. i see them shooting back

I think they will always make great traders but bringing them back would make them even better.

The prices have seemed to level off a bit with the hysteria that is BT. with that said, come January if the rumors are true and more come out, watch the hype skyrocket again. If the rumors are false and they are completely done, expect prices to stay, but steadily rise over time.

I agree. I think most grail scenes are still pretty high though for the big films. However, other PODMs that aren't as desirable have dropped dramatically. Top 3 IMO still: Tangled, BATB and The Little Mermaid. I think people should also keep this in mind when considering trade value.

Don't forget about Snow White. Way more valuable than those three.

+1. Snow White will always be #1 for average trade value. Doesn't matter the scene it's probably over $100. Even Dopey's butt was $140. Only the grail scenes from the other movies are really above that and only a handful of traders are actively going after those. PODM's are now similar to marquees in that it takes a PODM to get a PODM similar to it takes a marquee to get a marquee. But the people trading them are super picky and kind of just makes it all a hassle to try to trade them. Also the size issue of the backer card / pin.

If they come back, the new ones will probably be tradeable for the last few PODM's general quality scenes but still only the really top cream of the crop cells will trade 1 for 1 for the older stuff. I don't see too many scenes that will compete with the Tangled Hair scene, Cinderella with her in it, Snow White with Snow, or the other top top tier stuff. Maybe Sleeping Beauty on the bed if there are only like 20 of those in the whole batch. Or an Up pin with both Carl & Ellie or Kevin w/ babies. That kind of level.

I think most have heard it from a CM, possibly even at a PTN. But if there is anything I know, Disney loves money. The rumor was that the archives didn't want to send anymore movie strips to the merchandise group to dissect up for these. But it is possible they may find other means of acquiring movie film cells.

On behalf of my wallet and traders, I hope they do not come back.lol I worked pretty hard to get great scenes for the 24 current pins. I don't know if I could do it again.

I love these pins, and it's always exciting when you get your grail scene. But my wallet hates them, and so does my body when it comes to the stress of trying to obtain that grail scene.

I agree with the grail scenes. Unless someone is looking to upgrade their scene, they aren't doing that well. I have a Monster's Inc, Beauty and the Beast, and 101 Dalmatian that I can't seem to trade or sell! Anyone interested? haha

I would love for it to be true so that others might be able to get there favourite films!
I'm still holding on to the smallest of hopes that a hercules PODM might be released xD
