Should we make a separate auction forum?

I personally LOVE all the art, dolls, jewelry, and assorted other stuff going up for auction in the DPF auction house. I also love watching the non-pin bids come rolling in.

However in General rules, the first rule is:
You may post your authorized Disney pins for trade auction in this forum.

I think the assorted auctions are awesome! But I think it is time for them to have their own place in the Forum. Perhaps as a sub forum of the DPF Auction house? Or as another part of the DPF Marketplace.

What are your thoughts? Do you think that people should be permitted to bid ANY disney related stuff, or any art? Certainly not just pins. lol

What about the idea of just adding a tag? we already have the "trade auction" tage, we could do one for pins and one for "other"....

I think it should be allowe but it would be awesome if it had its own section. That way it wouldn't get sunk as much and might encourage to people to put awesome stuff up.
 
I started auctioning my art in the Auction thread simply because there was no where else to go. id be more then fine to post on a separate section. i mean, ive never been in trouble for it and never meant to be seen as a pest. i struggle to price my art so thats why i auction ( though i do trade too) sorry if its a bother guys.xxxx
 
I think it's a good idea :)! Does this mean if you auction your own disney art for pins it would go in the seperate auction?

It is not a "bother" at all Hollie! As stated in the OP i love the art and such that is being offered!! I just think that it is time to give this stuff its own space. The pin auctions are getting so busy that the art and other disney stuff is getting lost or buried.

And Garret: while i think a "grail" or HTF auction house would be fun, I dont think it is logical. A pin is a pin is a pin.
 
I don't know how the logistics would work, but I think it is a good idea to seperate Disney pins from the other treasures that are just as beautiful and home-made.
 
I think a sub-forum is a great idea! One for pins and then one for non pin auctions! It would be much easier to navigate through!

And I have to say that I love the art, jewelry, and other amazing things that people auction!
 
I love mixing the other stuff with the pins. I have no problem with people bidding other things in my auctions and if people want to post their art or other items looking for pins that is cool also. I think it makes things more interesting mixing the different medias.

Yeah, sorry about that, let me clarify...

i didnt mean that we wouldnt be able to bid pins on art or art on pins... just that the art and such could have its own area, so that people who are ONLY looking for pins to bid on, can find them. And people who love the artwork and such dont have to scan through ALL the pin auctions.
 
Very handy for non-pin items to have their own separate trade auction forum (and maybe a separate forum for unauthorized pins?)
 
I think that if it was given a separate forum, it would have a lot less traffic. I run into a lot of posts by accident because I was actually looking for something else. I know I wouldn't really look into that forum as much as the other ones.

I like this idea best. When posting a trade auction, there could be options for "Trade Auction - Pin" or "Trade Auction - Other" (which would cover art, SotMK stuff, dolls, etc.)...that way they would all be in one place, but it would be easy to scan for just pin auctions if that's what you want.

this idea is even better! Thank you for the suggestion! I cant change the poll. but I can add it to the OP and if more folks like it i will send a request/suggestion to the MOD's
