Yeah, since us WACKO's keep buying them all in one day. DSF decided to limit it to 1 per person now...

How do you feel about this?

Feel free to vent it out of your system. But dont attack other folks on HERE about how they feel.

I say they should make them LE 500 or even 750. It will keep them around longer and you could keep them at 2 per person. No system is perfect though. Even with 1 per person, people will bring their friends so they get multiple pins. At least if they increase the edition size, more people have a chance of getting them.
 
This new rule made me laugh myself into the happiest mood I've been in all week.

Additionally, I already made a meme if drama ensues. I love my life. YOLO

This is all because we would buy two pins, but only one or even no ice cream. it is very upsetting to them that the majority do not all accept our full allotment of Ice Cream per purchase.

+1 haha, it has been insane seeing that thread update every day....so many pins in such a small time frame!

It's weird thinking that if you bought ONE of each PTD at cost, since they returned, then you have spent $260 on just PTDs....if you maxed out every time or bought second market...wow.

Thankfully no Ariel so we don't mind right now and if it's 1 per person when Ariel finally shows up, we'll be happy getting one for our collection :D
 
They are shooting themselves in the foot if the rule sticks. I figure this is the last PTD before they run out again. Otherwise who does it benefit? Not the store, sales have been great for the last month, why try and slow them down. Not pin traders, its not worth the gas / parking for 1 pin (unless its a great character). And I would venture it will cost them more $$ in ice cream. If I was there to pick up 2, I would generally order one sundae (if I got the ice cream at all). With it being 1 per person, I definetly will be getting the ice cream to add some more value to my trip. Just my 2 cents.

On second thought there is one thing is does benefit... my wallet. Maybe I dont mind the change :)
 
OK from an outsider ( not in US) - The thing is , it is meant to be a free pin with a certain sundae right ? but they then sell it 2 at a time without the sundae? So if they stuck by the original idea of getting one with a sundae, it would last longer. But DSF seem to make up rules as they go along.
 
:) I think that 1 per person is a great idea, but increasing the edition size would be even better. DSF gets plenty of great trader pins, so it wouldn't be a massive loss if PTD pins became not so good traders. I just think that it would be a shame if they ended up running out again. I suppose they have to strike the right balance though, as they still need to be desirable.
 
My boyfriend and I are crazy and will make the 8hr drive down to DLR at least once a month while we have our annual passes. Most times we drive down, are only able to be there for half a day, and then drive back home, to avoid asking too much time off work. If we make the detour to DSF it softens the amount we spend in gas that we both are able to get one to keep and one to trade. But now, it makes it super discouraging for us to even bother collecting PTDs since most people only trade for other PTDs. Higher edition sizes would be nice, I would like characters to last longer, but only allowing one per day could honestly have me ruling out going to DSF altogether :(
 
I don't know what to think... I have been drooling over some PTDs for awhile now and I would LOVE to collect them so the fact that this could discourage resellers is good but I think it would also discourage DPF friends from being able to get 1 to trade or sell to me. :( I couldn't ask someone to make a special trip just for me without paying for their time, gas, trouble, etc. I do think it's crazy how they sell out every day lately and that something needs to be done to make them last longer. A larger edition size is good for everyone, IMO. More money for DSF and more chance of getting one for me! :)
 
I definitely think they should up the LE to at least 500 or even 1000. If that doubles or quadruples the time it takes to sell out (or even more), that still isn't a bad thing. Since most of these have lasted about a day or less, maybe LE 500 would last two days, maybe LE 100 would last a week? That's still not so bad!!
 
but wouldn't that make them less valuable? so fewer people would hurry there to get em?
 
I liked it at 2 per person because then if someone could help out they could with a pickup. Now, that makes it nearly impossible.
 
I think it should be two fold

1) Increase the edition size to LE500
2) Allow people to get 2 per purchase only

That way, true traders will be allowed to get one to show, one to go, and at a minimum 250 transactions (500/2), it should extend the life span of each PTD more than 12 hours in some cases, LOL

+1, DPF is making it super hard to get help for releases nowadays :lol: I'm happy more people who go to DSF and go through al the trouble get their pins more easily, but for people who need the help of others to get pins... it's very very difficult :( It's not really pin trading if you can't get one to keep and one to trade!
 
My suggestion is that they should stop selling PTDs at DSF and start selling them on eBay for $11.95 opening bid. Winner gets an icecream voucher. YOLO!

Seriously x___x; I always love picking up pins for my sister and for friends as well whenever I go (PS I have a jacq for you haha)
 
The whole point of Pin Trading is you get one to keep and one to trade. I do not collect PTD's but I still think the limit should be two.
