This is what, the 3rd Little Mermaid Marquee release? Aren't there still Disney Movies without any Marquees they could have done instead?

Or have a DVD release I think. There have been marquee releases that coincide with DVD releases and the film was not showing. (101 Dalmations, Jungle Book. Perhaps Peter Pan too, as the one with Tink and the one with Hook were like 6 months apart and I doubt they were showing 1 movie that long. The red background BatB marquee's were also just random marquee releases, granted DSF has played BatB before.)

As many guess, few will pick correct. If you see the Friends release, it is a Human charecter with a friends that is an animal that is hand size give or take a pound.

Now let the guessing really begin but most likely the Surprise pin per monthly release will the a Villain on Friday 13. LE 500.

The 101 Dalmatian marquee came out around the same time 101 Dalmatians played at the El Cap. I know the Peter Pan marquee with Hook on it came out while Peter Pan played at the el cap and I believe the second one did as well because I remember wondering why they were playing Peter Pan again after they had already showed it that year. The red background BatB marquee came out while the el cap played BatB 3D. The Jungle Book one was released for a DVD release because it says so on the pin and I can't remember if it played at the el cap around that time or not.

Often times when a Disney movie comes out the vault, the el cap will play the movie for a week or two. Sometimes they'll just play an old Disney movie for a week or two when they need to show something between new movies.

I know they have played short runs of movies, sometimes very short like a Lady & the Tramp on Valentine's Day. But the original BatB marquees were released on 9/24/10, 9/2/2011, and 1/13/2012. The first, 9/24/10 was accompanied by 2 other pins. The later 2 were not released with any other pins. I think if you go look at DSF's Facebook page going back through their pictures those were either surprise releases or released on their own. Same for the older Peter Pans. The one with Hook was released with 3 other pins. But the one with Tink/Pan was released all on it's lonesome.
 
They probably were surprise releases, but most of them came out while the movie was playing at the el cap. I know the BatB marquee released 9/2/11 came out when BatB was playing at the el cap for 2 weeks and then the one released 1/13/12 was released when BatB 3D was playing at the el cap. Same with the Hook marquee. I remember seeing it when Peter Pan was playing and I decided not to get it because I don't like Peter Pan.
 
Say it with me 'I don't like the TLM pins' I'm hoping if I say it enough it will be true :) oh well, off to add yet more pins to my wants list...
 
that is one heavy hitting flyer! Still of no interest to me until DSF realise that Hercules is the best film of all time, but ima let you finish.

Nice pins... glad its nothing I want though. Disney Infinity is taking most of my money at the moment, don't have much for pins right now.

Wow, I think you're onto something. If the surprise release is in the LM release, given it is on Friday, the 13th. It'd be a very opportune time to release and Ursula or Vanessa pin. Given Ursula already has a pin in the release...GASP! Could we really be seeing a pin of none other than Vanessa herself?!?!?!??
 
Oh man, okay, I REALLY want the first three Little Mermaid
pins and the Rapunzel and Pascal pin!!! :drool: I ADORE those TLM pins! Wish I was going to Cali in September, lol! :) Good luck everyone!!!
 
I still think a Triton surprise pin. They already have Urusla and Flotsam & Jetsom and regardless of how much people like Vanessa it isn't mainstream enough to be on DSF's radar as being that much different than the villain they are already doing. Just like I have very low hopes we'll ever see a Turbo pin.

Hey that reminds me though, if we have had Ariel and Scuttle pin trader delights we need Sebastion and Urusla. Not sure how Flounder eats ice cream, at least Scuttle and Sebastian can leave the water and possibly find some ice cream on the beach. But they can do them all as far as I am concerned. More PTD's! Let's do all LE500 and 2 per person. This 1 per person crap is getting old.
