I sent out to 16 traders OVER 100 offers (reasonable ones IMHO) via Pin Pics TA. I got the email that all had been sent out this AM. Anyone wanna guess how many replies I got? Zero, Nada, zilch, nix. Come on people- please try have the courtesy to reply
i do try to reply, sometimes a bit late, but I can't believe my bad fortune from this AM :(
Sigh....
 
My advice: Be patient! If they were sent this morning some people may not have had the time to reply... Not to mention that some emails are inactive, or get sent to the spam box.

Or just try to trade here, or some facebook groups..
 
If you sent them the new way, I doubt many people saw them. Most people are still using the old site, you have to log into the new site to get your trade requests the new way. I got 3 in the new site today (just checked) and I had about 6 in the emails from the old site. I am used to waking up and seeing the trade requests in my email, but now you have to go to the new site to see the new ones. I despise the new site, so I almost exclusively use the old site. Hence, I probably won't be seeing the newer requests all the time.
 
Yes, I agree too. I'm stikin' to the old site until I'm not able to anymore. I've had the misfortune of answering some trade requests late because they were in my spam and since I don't check that as often, I lost out on some cool stuff. You'll probably get a reply soon. Out of 100 SOMEONE is bound to be nice enough to reply or trade! :)
 
i spam all the emails from pinpics, and i removed all the traders its just not worth the effort to trade on pinpics. facebook groups work faster
 
I always try to reply but I have not got any lately. One month and the month I was super busy I got tons of them (isn't that just dandy lol) will there was one that I was meaning to get back to since it was for a pin I really wanted but when I finally got time to reply I couldn't find the email :( but yes give it time I am sure the ones that like/want to trade will get back to you once they have time to to go over the request and if they don't they probably are just to busy, don't want to trade or just don't trade anymore. I notice my trades come in waves sometimes I will be sending/getting packages a lot and the other times I am just waiting for trades a lot.
 
I'm totally confused by the new site. Thanks for the heads up to look on the new site for trade requests. I did have one! I guess I fixed my settings because I'm not "anonymous" anymore! Yay!
 
I used the OLD SITE OLD TA. Got email this AM that offers had gone to 16 folks. 14 h later & NO replies. :( :(
 
I get tons of trade requests every day (via the old site) and 99% are so lopsided, in their favor, my opinion only, that I don't bother to reply. If they can't take the time to try and at least be fair, why should I respond to 20+ TA's a day? Sorry, I just don't have the time. At least you didn't get rude, smart @$$ replies. I sent out 4 TAs not too long ago for a Simba pin, and I kid you not, 3 of the replies were snotty or down right rude. One accepted and we made the trade.

As for the new PP TAs, all the ones I receive are backwards, or at least they look that way to me. Maybe I can't read, who knows. But it looks like they are offering me my own pin..lol And as stated above, if it came across the way it should, again, lopsided in their favor.

The FB pages seems to be where everyone is. It's a bit fast paced and cliquish to me, but I've only been there a few months. I like looking at all the pictures of pins..lol
 
I used to send out a lot of requests here on the forum and now recently on Pinpics. I get a few replies but most go unanswered. I can relate to how you feel. Sometimes I get a reply 3 weeks later but by then, I have traded away the pin I offered.

Yeh thanks Mark...ok folks i've said it a few times, i am having the hardest time on the new site, i was literally in tears one night. It keeps re-booting, erasing my search...pins are not in numeric order and its 5x the pages to look at. It does have some good points, like with the trade assistant having the pop-up so you can see info on pins but today i sent request via the new site and it seemed like 2 extra steps and no way to write a memo? i is probably me but im lost--so my friend Sue i am never on the new one im on the old one so i didnt realize requests are no longer tied to email???
 
I to have sent out a ton of trade requests in the past five days or so and never got a single reply. (and yes luvsimba, if you send a request out from your wants list it does send it out backwards. I reported this a week ago and they said they were going to fix it but still have not)
 
Luv Simba - these were decent, Non-lopsided requests IMHO & sent via OLD system. they at least deserved a "no thank you" I took care to select worthy offers & nothing :( :(

I would like to try facebook but have no clue how to find any pin traders or groups and I get lost so easy on facebook....LOL.
 
I wouldn't take it personal. I think there is a variety of reasons why people just have not gotten back to you quite yet. Maybe people are still figuring out how to use Pinpics . I know personally I still haven't really been able to fully sit down and figure the site out yet. I think over time when the old pinpics is not offered anymore everyone will be forced to used the new site and just trade through pinpics and not there emails. Another reason is maybe they have not had a chance to even check there emails. Some people only check once a day or every other day. They might be busy with work, school, family, or other priorities. Or maybe responding to every request just takes too much time. I know I sometimes don't have time to respond to every trade request. Just give it a few days and if nothing gets responded to there is always someone else willing to trade either on here, or Facebook pages. Just be patient I am sure trades will happen soon enough.
 
Again- this was via OLD system where offer emails are sent at ~5AM Central time. If not in a Spam folder, they should be received by folks when first they look at their email. I tried to send balanced offers.
 
Perhaps this could relate to you, but I sent out a TA to someone on the forums a few days ago twice and they never received the TA (through e-mail or the new site, it did not appear for them) so I had to contact them on DPF to ask them about the trade instead (also where I learned that they never got anything). Perhaps a few of those people never got anything??? IDK how to tell...
 
Hey It happen to me the other day, I put out TA on Sat. afternnon, they should have been sent out on Sunday morning around 3 or 4am and would have been received around 6am on sunday morning. When I checked to see if they were sent out. They were still there nothing had be sent out. They did go out this morning since i received from pinpics confirmation on what was sent out for me this morning. maybe some kind of glitch?
 
With such a specific collection I very very rarely get trade requests and when I do I tend to find them in my junk mail section, so that could be happening.
 
In the interest of sharing what goes through people's minds...

I am one of the 16 traders. I didn't respond, because this whole Pinpics situation has put a real damper on how I'm feeling about pins and people right now. The trade request, may be fair, but I have so little access to LE200 pins that I only want to trade them for other equally low LE pins. Plus, I'm not even sure I want to break up the set, or try to trade the four WDI Electrical Parade pins for something really nice. Anyway, I didn't want to respond and get into a "take a look at my other pins" situation, because I'm really just not feeling it this week. 71 matches, between my wants and your trades, but sorting through that seems like just so much work right now, when I basically want to just chuck my computer over everyone's frustrations over the new site.

I feel your pain. It seems everything hit the fan at once for me, in the last few weeks. And I totally agree with what you said. You're not alone in this boat. I even thought several times of just selling all my pins (13 years worth), and getting out of the hobby. I don't like the way it's headed and the actions of some. Very frustrating and upsetting to say the least.

Plus, it's hard to tell people no all the time and that you're saving certain pins for others that you really want. For now, I hope you hang in there, like I will try to do and see what happens.

And back to the OP, it's also back to school time and it seems trading drops off for a while. I say give it a few weeks and try again :)
